alright small update: I was able to download it and in the video producer thing it gives the exact date (January 11th 2020), so I'm good with everything. Thanks y'all |

Oh yeah I totally forgot that I could download highlights, tho it might not be possible considering it's 1 and a half year old. If I can't download it, I'll do my 1st idea of recording the runs with OBS 'cause I don't like submitting 2 hours long streams with a timestamp for a 3 minutes run. I was just wondering about how legit it looked lol. And yeah, if the date doesn't really matter, I'll just put something like March 26th 2020 Thanks for the reponses |

I was scrolling through my profile and I saw a lot of my classic co-op 0.0 WR were beaten. Earlier today a thought hit me: man, I have a 2 years old Twitch highlight where we beat a lot of our WRs and some of the runs could beat current WRs. So I go watch the whole thing and saw that indeed, some of our runs beat the current speedrun.com WRs. The problem is: I can't highlight the runs since the vod is so old and also there is no date on the vod, meaning I don't know when were they performed exactly (it only says "2 years ago" and on my phone it's apparently a year ago lol). My idea was to record the Twitch vod with OBS then crop the runs I needed, then post them with a date around early April 2020 since I believe this is when the stream occured. Would that be a good idea or even allowed? Thanks |

because it's wayyyyyyyy slower. Mario accelerates faster backwards, so backward bumps give more x-pos as well as almost instantly giving Mario running speed again |

Because Mario actually doesn't move on the 1st frame. Any input you do a frame before 400 appears will make Mario move on the frame 400 appears |

Forum: Super Mario Bros. Thread: A last thank you Started by: |
Hey everyone, Wolf here. After 5 years of practice, runs, controller switch, mental breakdowns and breaks due to irl stuff, I'm finally quitting this game. I wanna thank you all for the amazing support throughout these years. I have only been really active online since 2018 due to the fact that my english was really bad before that time (and honestly, if you watch my old videos, it still was bad lmao), but I have been running since early October 2016 and I feel like it's time to put all of that behind and move on. I wanna thank 2 runners in particular: @natgoesfastnatgoesfast for pushing me to do better. We created a rivalery in mid 2018 to early 2019 and became really good friends. Without him I would probably have quit in 2019. @Nebula_ComposerNebula_Composer who single-handedly got me through a huge part of my depression and have been supporting me everyday since my comeback. He is the reason why I pushed for a new PB in the first place. Again, thank you everyone for the support, I've had many good memories with this game and community and to this day, I still believe that the SMB1 community is the best. I wanna wish good luck to everyone who is still running this game and everyone who will start running this game in the future. Never give up on your goals. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. -WolfAeterni |

The only time ever where it was useful (for something important, not stupid categories lol) is in the ABC TAS where they use it at the end of 1-2 to save an A press |

It doesn't necessarly make the gameplay easier (take the code STAGEO for example which makes enemies throw hammers). I'd still call it a cheat 'cause it's a game modification and furthermore isn't intended by the devs |

Game and Watch will never be allowed for several reasons. Also, please read the rules before making this kind of posts. The allowed hardwares are all listed |

Yep, it does. The only hardwares/softwares that run at 60.09881 are the NES, Top Loaders, Famicoms (and FDS), Fceux, NEStopia and Bizhawk. Note that any emulator that runs on Mac run at 60 flat |

It's not worth, I believe it even loses time. And yeah, BBG is possible in a lot of levels. As long as there is a canon that is at ground level or a block higher, you can BBG |

Well, now that y'all necroed this post, I wanna say something. Sub 4 will most likely be possible in the next weeks. We theorized a route using the cart swap RAM storage glitch (watch Kosmic's video about swapping SMB1 to Tennis then swap back to SMB1). We have a route so it leads us to world 8 then we'd have to play world 8 only. Of course, this is all for fun and will never be a category, I just wanted to mention it |
