It was recently discovered on the LEGO City Undercover discord that we can enter the final level of the game "Fly Me to the Moon" near the beginning of the game due to placement of triggers of every level. If there are any questions regarding this change, please feel free to leave them here. |

Forum: LEGO City Undercover Thread: Potential New Speedrun Category? Started by: xGlitchyxxGlitchyx |
I agree with TrenttheN642, this seems more like a thing you see in glitch exhibitions for games instead of an actual speedrun category. It could be a more fitting category if LCU had category extensions, and not one that should be shared with the traditional Any% and 100% categories. But, I don't really see that happening anytime soon. |

Forum: Ignition Thread: Ignition Fan site with Leaderboards Started by: |
Hello, Ignition is one of my Childhood games and have been interested running this game for a while. However, I felt it I should bring up to the community here that there is a fan site holding times for the tracks in this game. The leaderboards on the site haven't been updated since 2008, and the times on the ghost files suggest the times were done in 1999-2001. I found while looking at the Wikipedia article of the game, which only contains just a handful of sentences. I don't know if this needs to be placed on the Speedrun.com since there is no video footage of these runs, only ghost data. I figured it should be mention here in case there hasn't been any knowledge of this leaderboard. Link to site: http://www.bobulous.org.uk/ignition/ghosts.html |

On the WiiU, Red Bricks should most likely be ignored as you need to wait for 2 minute-long loading screens so that they can be purchased, which is what you need to do to use them in the run on the original. For train stations, you can watch Trajan's WR or my PB, on the original version not the remaster, for an idea on on any train stations to get; I also have this video: Which showcases a possible time save for the game. The stations to get that are known time savers are the ones in Auburn, Pagoda, Airport (possible), Uptown (Remaster), Downtown (Remaster), Fresco (Remaster), and Festival Square (possible) This is with the Any% category in mind |

The extended chicken glide is an abuse of switching characters and immediately jumping as the farmer to allow for glides that are longer than normal. It is quite tricky to pull off, but some cool strats have been found using it already, with a few saving loads of time. I have a video showing off how to do it if you are interested. |

As far as our knowledge is Dedel, You can skip cut scenes on a new file if you are running the very first version of the game for certain platforms. PS4 should allow you to skip cut scenes if you revert back to version 1.0.0. |

No idea. I imagine that it might be a hair faster, but it is likely not going to be enough to consider it mandatory. |

Forum: LEGO City Undercover Thread: New categories? Started by: PeytThaDawgPeytThaDawg (edited: ) |
There is a Freeplay RTA Category for all the special assignments (that is what the game calls levels), if that is what you are referring too. If it's playing the levels as if it's a normal any% run, which I'm guessing is what you are asking for, then perhaps the same rules from the Story IL category should apply. I'm kind of skeptical of how many players are going to do this since it's going to have both the classic any% category along side a similar sounding but trimmed-down category that you are proposing. And I don't see the regular Any% category going away anytime soon. 2 Player Any% should be a category. Only the remaster release is able of doing it, since the original WiiU release is single player only. |

Forum: LEGO City Undercover Thread: ILs categories Started by: |
1) That is true, it can make it tricky to figure out which levels should be directed to brick banking and no brick banking. For those who don't know what special assignments have the required super builds, they are: Miner Altercation, Kung Fool, Dirty Work, Colossal Fossil Hustle, and High Steal. 2) I think for the runners who want to do IL runs on a 100% file, state in the rules "You must collect the required bricks as if you entered the level with no Super bricks" and "You may use as many super bricks as you need to complete the assignment" for Story (No BB) and Story (BB) respectively. Changing the category names to more reflect the game may reduce some the confusion. 3) I think the brick amount should be what it would be if you were still trying to progress through the main story-line in the Story IL categories. I plan on doing IL runs along with the Free Play RTA category, both of which for the WiiU. |

Forum: Hot Wheels: World Race Thread: Should the GBA game be on the list? Started by: |
I've never played it. Based on videos of the game, I think it should be a different category, or a new game on the website. It's completely a different game, from the cars you start with, to how the game plays. I opt towards a new game personally, but we can put it as a different category (likely a Misc) if we don't see the need to do so. |
