The level must be rated at the time the run was done. So if you did a run right now that uses a level that is not currently rated, that level does not count. Hope this helps.

You should probably be more specific. What platforms/consoles do you have? What genre of games do you like? Any price range?
It's much simpler to pick a game you already own or have played.

Finding Nemo: Escape from the Big Blue is a DS game that received a rerelease on the 3DS eShop. This version was called the "Special Edition". Currently don't know if there are any differences between the two, but as soon as I get to routing the game, I'll definitely look into it.

@Oreo321Oreo321 that doesn't look like an in-game timer.

Nevertheless, I watched the whole video, and there hardly seems to be any major lag at all. IMO poor reason to reject the run, as it's still watchable.

That's a little uncalled for.

The character limit will be raised. Don't know by how much or when, but it will be raised.

To be fair, like 7 000 LCE runs were added the other day.

The bit Generations series was a series of Japan-exclusive GBA puzzle games. Years later, some of those games would get remakes/sequels that were in the Art Style series for WiiWare and DSiWare.

Now I haven't played through all of them yet, but the two most similar games are probably bit Generations: DIALHEX & Art Style: ROTOHEX. Aside from a few extra modes and some changes to the power-ups, the base gameplay is exactly the same.

Other games from those series with remakes:
- bit Generations: ORBITAL & Art Style: ORBIENT (don't know if it's an exact remake)
- bit Generations: DIGIDRIVE & Art Style: DIGIDRIVE (different unlockables, but the game is still mostly the same)

Ask the game's mods.

That would be a segmented run. Most games on the site don't have categories that allow segmented runs. Regardless, ask the game's moderators about this.

Thread: What are some good games to learn how to play the DS?

Started by: EmeraldAlyEmeraldAly

Just gonna throw in the entire Mario DS/3DS library. They're all pretty good. Some personal favourites are mine are Mario Kart 7 & Mario Party Star Rush.

Unfortunately can't recommend much else right now. Every other game I follow is either too long, too hard, or too .... not good (looking at you, The Cube)

Thread: Nintendo Direct Talk Thread [SPOILERS]

Started by: WalgreyWalgrey

Just a talk thread for today's Nintendo Direct. What did you like about it? Is it what you were expecting? Are you looking forward to any of the games? What do you think speedruns for these games will look like? Let's talk about that here!

As a Mario Party fan, I was ecstatic to see Mario Party Superstars. The new Metroid game also looks super cool. Definitely going to try to get both of these games when I get a Switch.

If I'm not mistaken, Chromebooks use a different operating system than Android phones do, so maybe a ChromeOS platform doesn't sound entirely unreasonable.

Thread: Lost PB/WR to empty battery?

Started by: Laika_the_SpacedogLaika_the_Spacedog

While not technically because of batteries, there was a time where I had my Wii nunchuck malfunction more than 2.5 hours into a run. I mistook this for dying batteries and replaced them when I got to a lengthy loading zone later on, hoping that I'd be ok for the rest of the run. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The whole nunchuck was just broken. I lost more than 15 seconds to switching the nunchuck, yet in the end, the run WR'd by more than a minute

Hopefully this is the only time I encounter this in a run, as I can imagine it would be devastating to lose a WR to it.
