Hello fellow speedrunners! I'm one of the developers of Bounce Rescue, and also a speedrunner that enjoys fast paced action and training frame perfect tricks. I'd love to see my first video game ran by the champions of platformer -genre. If you're interested, here's what you need to do.

1. Get Bounce Rescue from steam http://store.steampowered.com/app/746680/Bounce_Rescue/
(The ps4 build differs so much it can't be referenced to the steam build at all)
2. do a livestream on twitch or any other streaming platform of you playing the game. (have the time written down in the end.) upload it to youtube and link to speedrun.com for safekeeping.
3. Be the fastest in the end of 2 months.
We will then pm you (the fastest one) and give you a trophy for your heroic deed. (not sure yet what it's going to be, but it'll be awesome!)

Rules: No level skipping. Every level from 1-50 must be played through, you can use "glitches" or unintended game mechanics in the levels if you find some, but the character must begin from the start of the level and find their way to the end of the level. You can play the game through so you have all the levels open, but once you start the speedrun, no levels can be skipped. Also no TAS-stuff is allowed during the run. The timing starts at the beginning of the first level when you gain control of your character and ends in the last boss fight when you lose control of you character.

Tips from the developer: Characters do vary, some characters are way faster than others, while others can jump higher. In a few sidescroller levels, death on checkpoints can help you to move faster, because the camera moves faster towards the end of the level when dying at the right position. This is all i've found as a developer.

The 2 months of time begin from the games launch day Feb 1, 2018 @ 2:00pm PST and ends at Apr 2, 2:00pm PST 2018

Ends on April Fools Day, could this also be a trick by the dev to get people to buy his game then at the end of the time period "April Fools" got you all. Or maybe I am just a cynical bastard.

Changed the date to 2nd of april so no-one will accidentally think this is a long and elaborate april fools joke! 🙂

One day to launch! I can't wait to see you guys play and find unintended mechanics ❤️ We do have another competition if you feel intimidated though. Best player, first level. Basically just learning the mechanics and trying to use them to get the high score and also to be the fastest. For the "First level, Best player" prize we've put 100 €, and from the launch date you've got a month to do that too! 🙂
