Forums  /  The Site  /  Leaderboards moderation requests thread

@Kirby703 No activity for 2 years, done.

Hello guys, @Daravae and @Liv I have waited for almost 1 month a pending run for the Capcom arcade game Three Wonders: Midnight Wanderers. The moderator is @xShiko but no verification of my run so far. I wish you could add me please as an additional moderator along with xShiko. I will grind my times in this wonderful game. I would appreciate a lot. Thanks. The link:

Hi all, if mods will permit me I have to respond to @Adamo, for he made several claims about me there. Don't worry, no drama/negativity here 🙂

I saw a notification right before bed last night that Adamo submitted a run, but couldn't even look at it bcus I had to sleep, had work/school today. Just now I was made aware of this thread from a Twitch message from this site's moderator FurryWulfz. It hasn't even been 24 hours since I got the notification of the run on my end. I see now there's a forum post, but last night it was not showing me that, just that there was a run which i planned to verify this weekend when i have actual time. Others use my computer and it stays on all day, it doesn't mean it's me at all the time.

@Adamo, you're saying things like "I have tried to contact @Chimp on all forms of communication and I am positive that he has viewed my forum post for the game". This is 100% false. No messages from you on my Twitch, forum posts are not going to be replied to instantly if the mod hasn't seen them. "Positive" I saw your forum post for the game? Also incorrect, and I would never make "positive" claims such as these about someone based on negative assumptions.

"he is simply ignoring/delaying my attempts at communication so that he can continue to be first place in a game that only he has submitted a run for" Again, this is false.

You say "It seems unfair that he can do this", Yet it's fair for you to smear me and make negative assumptions about me? That is biased and highly irrational. Unlike some runners I don't mind submitting initial runs even if they're terrible, and then progress from there slowly, since like most I have other obligations. For me doing it this way helps me keep working at the game. The first run I ever did for Friday the 13th (NES) was not very good at all, and now thru the course of a year just 6 days ago i got the WR for the game, and it's by no means an easy free WR. It's not even labeled as a WR anywhere, nor will it ever be, yet you claim I just want WRs. The work that everybody put in the game is what matters to me, not the titles.

I could go on with the many things that are false

For the mods here, any advice on what should I do in this situation? Because I really have no interest in ever dealing with someone who has no problem lying just to get their way, showing impatience (Posting here instead of just waiting for a bit), being selective on the "investigation" done on my profile just to get his way, etc when just being respectful would have been sufficient.

On the forum post for the game he says he wants to be mod so he can verify his own runs, but generally the point is to submit and wait for the other mod to verify.

@Chimp As I said above, you're under no obligation to mod anyone simply because they ask. I just wanted you to see the situation for yourself so you could respond.

This was mostly just a demonstration of how easy it is to get ahold of someone if you actually try.

@manticor5 I've tweeted at Shiko since he appears active on twitter, I'll give him a few days to respond to this.

Firstly, let me just say that I apologize for assuming that you were ignoring my attempts at contacting you as your info page claimed that you were getting on/off repeatedly (i.e. not an instance of leaving your computer on as then it would stay logged in) which to me seemed as though you were well aware of my attempts to contact you, however were simply ignoring me. I didn't think much of it until I looked at your profile and noticed that you were first place in a TON of other games that you moderate and were the sole runner for, another red flag to me. While I definitely thought this was the result of a user who seemed to enjoy being first place in a ton of various games and didn't want to lose those times, I always thought it was possible that I was completely misunderstanding the whole situation and in my first message here I even state "Also, in the off chance that @Chimp is very busy despite constantly being on and has genuinely not had the time to respond to me, I apologize."

I am completely in the wrong and I let my lack of patience and the evidence that I had found get the better of me. I also assumed that you saw my forum posts (when I said I was 100% positive that you saw it) because I saw the view count go up and assumed there was no one else that it could be besides you.

"he is simply ignoring/delaying my attempts at communication so that he can continue to be first place in a game that only he has submitted a run for" - Again, I was wrong. I didn't even try to message you on twitch as your last stream was half a year ago, and all the other links on your profile led to dead ends where I couldn't message you.

I have nothing against submitting "bad" times, but I do honestly still think that someone who has submitted a single "bad" run shouldn't be able to have full jurisdiction over a speedrun community simply because they submitted a run first. I saw your Friday the 13th run and it was really good, I watched the whole thing and enjoyed it.

I don't think I really lied about anything, just misinterpretation and maybe a severe lack of patience on my part which was fueled by the evidence that I came across when researching your profile. Also, I think its a bit hypocritical when you say that it isnt in the spirit of this website to want to be a mod so that I can verify my own runs, when more than half of your runs are verified by yourself... I think anyone can understand why someone with a 17 minute PB wouldn't want to have someone who has a 39 minute PB to have to verify each and every single run when clearly they're equally if not more qualified to assess the run.

Again, really sorry if you felt that I was smearing you, as that was not my intention. I was simply trying to point out the flaw that this website has where a single user can essentially hold multiple speedrun communities hostage by not allowing other equally qualified people to be mods when you aren't necessarily super interested in that game in the first place. I felt really bad commenting before and taking up space on this thread and now I feel even worse because I didn't want to start any drama. @Chimp if you would like to speak more let us do so on the forum on ASRS and again, I apologize.

I will just say whether or not your run is good/bad doesn't really demonstrate one's ability to moderate properly. Some really good runners could potentially make poor moderators, and vice versa.

Anyway, can this conversation please be taken elsewhere? There is no issue here; Chimp can be contacted, the runs have only been sat pending for a day and at this point it's just going to be clogging up this thread. Twitch Whispers would be a good avenue, as Chimp responded to me within a matter of hours.

I made a run of the game Unravel two, with all the compliments, however I discovered a glitch of climbing on the walls causing me to not have to accomplish some goals, and the moderators do not accept my race. @BnH247, @maskedmonkey2

Yes...I will wait also. Thank you so much, @Liv =)

I have had a run pending for The Sims 2 for over a month and the moderator has not been online even before I submitted it. As I've mentioned in previous posts here, I've tried and failed in contacting the moderator and the user @NTRG has been requesting to be a mod for some time. Now that it's been over a month is it possible for either @NTRG or myself to be added as a moderator so my run can be verified? Thanks.

Hi, please remove as moderator and add me as super mod for the game , he hasn't logged in since September, and has no linked accounts.

@Ratodanet Please take this up to the moderators of the game itself. Both moderators are active enough to treat your request. Actually, I already found a forum post of you on Unravel Two which had moderators replying very shortly after. Just because you might not got the answer you want right now, does not mean this should be an immediate trigger to come here in this thread and request moderator status yourself. I suggest having a good talk with the moderators first.

@TheMadWasp I have looked into this a little bit and it seems like most of the socials from this moderator also don't work. I added you and @NTRG as mods. Please look into the current queue as well.

@TweniThree Seems fair. Done.

Hello, I'm contacting you guys in regards to the leaderboard for A Bird Story ( The current moderator hasn't been online in at least a month. I've attempted to contact him through the e-mail linked on his twitter (as his twitter hasn't seen any activity in almost a year). This has not yielded any response either. His twitch link is, unfortunately, a dead link so no other means of contact seem to be possible. I'm currently series moderator for the Sigmund Corp series (which A Bird Story is part off) and it is the only game in the series I do not have mod rights to. Would it be possible to be added as a moderator of this game as well?

@Crrool Seems fair, thanks for trying. I added you.

Hello, me and a friend submitted a run on Never Split the Party ( 3 weeks ago. We contacted the moderator on Twitch but he didnt answer yet. Thanks for the help!

Hi, I manage the leaderboards for (supertux) and one mod, AD2 is quite inactive. As he is a super mod we cant remove him. He hasn't run the game in about 2 years and does nothing to verify runs. He is also not even on our tux community discord. Frankly, he is clutter to our mod list. Not to mention, he is a mod for about 15 other games, so I doubt he'd have time to bother with supertux anyway. I once asked him on a stream a few months ago if he would consider coming back to supertux, and it doesnt seem he even remembered what supertux was.

Thank you for your time 🙂

I would like to confirm that what @OscillatingOcelot is saying is totally correct. He doesn't participate in any matters regarding board moderation and doesn't even answer on it when you DM him. I doubt he'll be to any help. It can be good to remove mods who doesn't moderate nor participate in questions.

@OscillatingOcelot @UbuntuJackson I agree, he's been away from supertux speedruns since quite a time ago.
