Xbox and GamePass just released a new speedrun challenge for Valheim!

Speedrun Rules:
• Fastest to kill a troll
• Must play on console - available free on GamePass
• Must be an entirely new game with a new Viking (Not NG+)
• Must use the world seed "GAMEPASS"
• Must be a solo run
• Time starts when character takes their first step
• Time ends on the frame the troll dies (0HP)

Submission Rules:
• Submission titles must include: #GamePassValheimSpeedrun
• Submissions may be posted to YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, or Instagram
• Submissions must be posted by 5:59 PM PST on May 27th
• Submission must include the full recording of the challenge from start to finish, without any editing or modification.
• No cheating, exploits, or bugs/glitches.

Top 3 times get a new Valheim inspired Xbox Series X Controller and of course bragging rights.

In your rules you state you have to show proof of removed parts before you stop timer..
That seems like wasted time. Timer should stop when you remove the last component. You then show proof that all parts are off. If all parts aren't off then the run is invalid. Just like in Full disassembly/assemble you start car timer stops then you show that all parts are installed.

Thanks. There is definitely time for improvement. I immediately thought of it when you had to drain the oil. I did a few runs with the model 3 but switched to the roadster because of the differences in suspension.

Maybe on CMS 15 but that's not how CMS 18 is. I'm mostly following CMS 18 rules.

Only on Any% should the car be 100% complete. You need to remove the tires, shocks, and engine but you do not need to dismantle it.

On 100% you just need to start with whatever car you can find from the junkyard or barn find. On this one you do need to build a set of shocks(If the car comes with them), tires and build an engine. You do not need to dismantle them though.

This is what I was thinking. Idk why we don't have it an actual category yet.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 Any% Dismantle and Build
Rules:
• Must be in Sandbox mode
• You can start anywhere in the garage.
• Vehicle must start in Car Lift 1
• Vehicle cannot be a mod car. Must be a vehicle in game or DLC.
• Timer starts when you move.
• Timer ends when you press the sell button.
• Vehicle must not be missing any parts before starting the dismantle.
• Must not have any parts in your inventory when you start.
• All parts must be removed and reinstalled. (Engine has to be pulled does not need to be dismantled. Tires do not need to be seperated. Shocks do not need to be seperated.)

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 100% Dismantle and Build
Rules:
• Must be in Sandbox mode
• You can start anywhere in the garage.
• Vehicle must start in Car Lift 1
• Vehicle cannot be a mod car. Must be a vehicle in game or DLC. Must be from the junkyard or barn find.
• Vehicle must not be missing any parts other then what is missing from junkyard or barn find.
• Timer starts when you move.
• Timer ends when you press the sell button.
• All parts must be removed, bought new, and installed during run. (You do not need to dismantle the engine, shocks, or tires. You may buy new and assemble.)
• You must not have any parts in your inventory at the start of the run.

Just my 2 cents (whatever that's worth lol).. Doing some crazy boost flying to skip half the track and just hitting checkpoints is probably considered a SC. Driving the whole course the way it was intended on the other hand is considered a NoSC.
Cutting cones should be allowed in NoSC period.(imagine you losing you're run because you drifted outside a cone a little)
As for the loop dilemma, I think you should have to drive the track. Falling off or boost flying to skip three loops I think should be considered a SC.
I did a run in Attic Trouble and boosted off that ramp to land on the other portion. I don't actually think it saves that much time then just driving the track the way it was intended. I left it up to the mods to decide whether that was a SC or not and they chose that it was not a SC. (I'm completely fine with it if general consensus thinks that is a SC and I'll redo that run.)

I think the major difference of SC and NSC is anybody can pick up the controller and record a run for NSC. There is ultimately no learning of boost flying and flipping off the track.
