Forum: Gravity Rush Thread: Leaderboard Poll: Requiring Timer for Run Verification Started by: SteveTheWizardSteveTheWizard (edited: ) |
With recent discussion among the community there has been a request to not make a timer required for run verification. Here are the options: 1) Require a timer on every run (as the leaderboard currently is) 2) Only require a timer for top 3 runs 3) No timer required for any runs In order to have your vote counted you will need to have a verified full game run in any category on this board. In order to cast your vote respond to this thread with the number you are voting for and feel free to include your reasoning if you would like. You have until December 31, 2020 for your vote to be counted. After that we will tally the votes and make any changes if necessary. |
Forum: Gravity Rush Thread: Leaderboard Poll: Hardware Separation (Gravity Rush Remastered only) Started by: SteveTheWizardSteveTheWizard |
With the release of the PS5 we are having a poll on if we should separate the leaderboard into categories according to hardware. These are the options: 1) Keep the leaderboard as is. This means just having the player indicating the hardware (system and hard drive) they are on for the run, but they will all be displayed on the same board. 2) Separate PS4/PS4Pro and PS5. This option would create 2 categories, but we keep the rest of the board as is for both types of PS4s and hard drives. 3) Separate PS4, PS4 Pro, and PS5. This option would create 3 categories, but would still keep the different hard drive types on each board. 4) Separate HDD/SSD for PS4/PS4Pro, and PS5. This option would create 3 categories based on hard drive type, but not console. 5) Separate all consoles and hard drive types. This option would create 5 categories, separating all console and hardware combinations. In order to have your vote counted you will need to have a verified full game run in any category on this board. In order to cast your vote respond to this thread with the number you are voting for and feel free to include your reasoning if you would like. Forum: Pokémon Gold/Silver Thread: Clock Reset Password Formula Started by: SteveTheWizardSteveTheWizard |
So I have been wanting to know what the clock reset password formula for these games. I know there are a ton of calculators I could use online in order to get the password for my game, but I don't see the formula used in these calculators anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find the formula used in the game to generate the password (I only really care about the formula for the US versions of Gold and Silver)? |
Forum: North American Speedrunner Assembly 2018 Thread: NASA2018 Feedback Started by: lurklurk |
This was my first speedrunning event and the first event that Gravity Rush Remastered has ever been run, and the opportunity to run that game was just such an amazing experience just because of how much effort our community has put into the game we have been dying for the chance to show it off. Due to financial limitations I wasn't able to come for a longer period of time or see much more of the event myself personally, but I am forever grateful just to have the chance that you guys gave me. That being said, quite a few people had mentioned to me that they felt the event from a viewer perspective was rather unprofessional. I heard complaints that runners were not prepared and that that the commentary was pretty cringe-worthy. I know that these people were mostly just memeing and having fun, but I do believe that for events like this to grow there should be a more serious and professional approach when it comes to how the runners conduct themselves on stream. Being at the venue itself was fun, but I felt like there was a lack of support from the rest of the community. I only really had the time in my schedule to come and do my run because my trip was very short, but I think we as a community should be watching and supporting eachother's runs more since we all would appreciate having others watch and support us. Overall I had an incredible experience and certainly would love to return to run Gravity Rush Remastered again if given the opportunity, and if I have more time and money next year I would love to stay and watch a lot more runs. |

I just wanted to point out Gravity Rush Remastered will be run on PS4 and not Vita. Internetmovieguy incorrectly submitted the platform. |

I am thinking about running this game, but when I looked at the SDA forum all the youtube and twitch links don't work. I would like to see how the tricks in this game work. Is there any videos of the tricks that still exist? |

Not sure how much faster this is, but I it seems faster to me. From what I tested you have to attack to make it over the ledge. If you air dash double jump air dash you either walk into the ledge or grab the ledge. |

I just did some testing by doing a run on my PS4 HDD and a run on my PS4 Pro SSD. I went through the footage and counted every load that was 3 seconds or greater. The total time save is about 40-45 seconds depending on how accurate my counting was. I think it is certainly over 40 because the larger level loads are about 5 second difference. |

K we were thinking about adding Low % (no upgrades) and 100%. We haven't done runs of them yet. |
