I don't want to come off as rude, but if you want to compete then I'd suggest putting the effort in & buying a capture card & getting your console & game together. Obviously nothing is stopping you from doing runs on emulator, but to try to shove it on the actual leaderboard because you don't want to get your gear together seems silly to me.

I don't think PS2 emulation is even accurate. I don't know of any other serious PS2 leaderboards that allow it either. I don't really feel like getting into a discord conversation about it but that's pretty much all I have to say.

I don't understand why you think having new mods will make any difference to people being interested in the game. There's literally no connection at all. What's your issue with how things are right now?

60FPS is banned on PC because it can give you unpredictable speed ups & 30FPS prevents that completely. Even if there was a split, that would still be an issue that wouldn't make sense to allow.

It's the closest way to have any version as a viable method of running the game instead of having to play the vastly inferior PC port just for less loading times, which can easily be fixed by just timing out loading, which is why we have the current system.

There is one PC run on the leaderboard and it's a playthrough. You two don't even have runs on the leaderboard right now.

Found this 2 years ago & have yet to find any big uses for it. Posting it here so it's easy to find & so people can mess around with it

I used to go for the Circus 1 skip using a similar trick, but just with doing a standard jump as the egg comes back to you. It can send you pretty far. Never thought about doing a ground pound though, very cool

Yeah, 2-5. I can't record anything right now, but I used the method in this video with the two small eggs right at the start. Shove them in the corner directly behind where you spawn. You can use this method to get a lot of height. Once I was up there I dashed then jumped and kept jumping on the slide to eventually climb up it, avoiding the holes. I tried to make my way to the cannon from there a few times but kept falling short

I tested the normal route & the fastest castle clip route I could come up with & got this, castle clip method being a few seconds faster:
