I figured out a strat on the current SSG seed which can save 15 seconds or more. You go to the Nether as usual, then you come back and there is a stronghold chest nearby that will change its contents to include an Ender Pearl if you have a low render distance/haven't already loaded the chest.

This means you don't have to mine blocks and tower up the the Bastion, you can just throw your pearls up. This can save more than 15 seconds if your Nether loading time is fast.

Ummm you can’t get the same RNG as pre .100 players, they can get 8 pearls per trade and the max on .201 is 4 meaning that even with perfect RNG, it takes twice as long.

There are seed finders such as chunkbase.com where you can enter your seed and see how your world looks before playing it, which would be against the rules.

I just think it isn't really fair that some people can get an advantage over others because of the speed of their device.

Does Bedrock measure with real time? If so, why? Is it possible to switch to in-game time because it’s really unfair to players with slower devices.

After reviewing the video, it looks like you got a diagonal perch, which is unlucky because it looks a little faster than the sideways one.

Also, you missed a bed.

You may have waited too long, when the dragon gets close to fully perching, it can fling you away.

Sounds interesting, but unless it has a stronghold and really good nether, it would be hard/impossible to beat the other seed.

Yes, there was a mobile glitch that let you beat the game super quickly, but that's SS, not SSG.

@benchbotchbenchbotch the extra pearls would be used for travel, they're maybe the fastest way to move (other than nether travel and depth strider III/dolphin)

In the meantime though, you could get emeralds from the other villager. you need them because gold is the cleric’s second tier trade

yes, however, you need 2 monuments to get 12 pearls with a normal villager.

also, the extra 24 pearls can be used for traveling over land to the stronghold. pearls are one of the fastest ways to travel in the game.

exactly, it’ll give you discounts allowing you to get around 6x the pearls. also, the odds of monument+igloo is still greater than getting looting 3

I have a new idea for 1.14 random seed speedruns. Steal the 8 gold blocks from an ocean monument and convert it into 72 ingots. Then find an igloo with a basement and trade with the villager for emeralds while curing the zombie one. The cured villager will become a cleric and give you discounts, allowing you to trade your gold for 36 pearls. Is it a good idea?
