Hello everyone! Here is a post to explain what are the plans for the leaderboard in terms of categories. We actually hold 2 types of boards : 1/ Full game : story mode for season 1, 2 and the two of them. 2/ Individual levels : Netherball for each characters playaing against another one. Here is the possible categoy list which would be implemented for the future, but, since they have some problems, i propose to the community or future player to submit a run about it. Moderators will make a view about the situation and, eventually, post your run with a leaderboard for it. Here is the ONLY category which are possibly allowed : - Netherball - Beat them all = The idea is this category will be put as a "Miscellaneous" in Full-Game. Timer start when you select play with D'Jok and stops when you successfully beat Luur. The problem about this category is his enormous RNG base. Actually, this category have a 90% room improvement only by the RNG. The only other way to save some time is by executing faster inputs which can save one or two seconds. - Cup 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10/11/12/13 : Those one also are considered as misc. Timer start when you press A on "start game" and stop when you finish the match which gives you the trophy. This one doesn't have particular problems except that there is very few improvements compared to story mode in his whole. Here are the category suggested. It’s because emulators can do savestates and spliced runs. Actually, some TAS was made on emulator and clearly show the problem about that. |

New All Unlockables RTA/100% TAS in 43:32 : Things to note : 1/ Improvements mades by taking the wiiu loadings and the N64 NTSC resets (1m35s saves), few improvements including Kensuke training, CP Expert , MV and DF trick. 2/ Correction on few courses. I put the missing recording part on some of them, check out the video description for more information. 3/ I completely cut the audio this time. More enjoyable for people. 4/ The actual time can go for a sub 43. here is the improvements area : - Match race = 21 seconds (from ILs TAS). - Trick : 8 seconds and at least 5 following the trick route. So i estimate an optimal time to be 43:1x. A dreaming time to be 43:0x. And a really difficult time to be 42:5x (between 57 and 59 probably). Here is the TAS : I will give you few explanation, but don't hesitate to ask anything about the run. 1/ Yes, the video is spliced on many part (its a TAS so no prob i guess), i tried to make RTA the most optimistic possible. 2/ The TAS is RTA optimal only, the saves can be made on IGT between 12/17 seconds (Match race+ expert iceman). I have tried to make a good run, but the IGT are still pretty decent. 3/ The reason why IGT isn't optimized is about the difficulty to play Dion and the match race, its not impossible to be close to the actual ILs TAS, but it will take too many times and patience which i haven't with dion (the only thing which is good with him (in his statistic) is the speed, which is the best on the game). 4/ About the routing, i let people decide if they want to considerate the last cutscene to be on the run or not. If you take it, its 1min55 slower than stopping time after reaching the last line (officially, we considered that reaching the last red line on course was also possible to clear the run, instead of finishing contest). 5/ Here is the precise routing and the strat to know : Contest : Basically you need to finish 3 times above the 1st place reached by the CPU with 50k points. The idea is that, even if you have a time out on crystal lake, the game still register your time. So it's much better to try reaching 50k points on CL by doing trick combos, you can see on the TAS than a OOB which is close to the beginning of the course can give you a big airtime and the way to do a 9-combo trick, giving you 50k point bonus and the main one you made. Training : the best to clear training w/o problems is to do the trick menu after 180 or 360, because you have to get a big airtime on each trick you have to do after. Match race : 1/ Dion+PBoard are the fastest combination of the game alongside Gold Ice man, 121km/h but its really hard to do an optimized run with him, so i would advice you (or others 2/ There is a way to do a cutscene skip on the end of the match race, by reseting the console. This will NOT register your time but the game will consider that you unlocked hard or expert mode, depending where you are. Its almost 2 minute save for each reseting. Trick : except on air make, you know the thing, if you past the checkpoint fast enough, you can beat the best time w/o making tricks. Here is for the explanation. I hope you will enjoy the run even if we aren't on the same view. PS : About the 6 extra trick, you can consider about 30 seconds more after the last menu. |

Well i will give you my answer proprely about how i saw the thing when i runned the category : - So basically, the idea was to make an RTA category for players which wasn't eager to do ILs run. It can be understandable by the thing that the best of them which are on the leaderboard took a bunch of hours to only save few centiseconds to improve the score on each courses. If i should give you an advice is to try running this category on your side, even if the game can be finished in less than 50 minutes (even without being a top player), i would recommend you to do ILs. Its could be less enjoyable or kinda hard at a certain level, but it is much easier to do than a hundo. |

1/06/75 Deadly Fall : saving a fraction of frame on the beginning , fraction of frame doing the ZBA technic before alcove , half a frame on the alcove and a fraction of frame in the end. this is my most proudest (with crystal lake) Multi segment i ever did |

1/05/76 Deadly fall OOB : doing the run with the 79 glitchless ghost , good one to take. 75 on Deadly fall will depends on the beginning of the race , testing everything on live with one of the best player and trying to follow our opinion and path wasn’t enough to pull it. I will surely not give up , but the chance of the 75 still extremely low at this point. I will show it to everyone soon the 2 new 79 i got , this could be useful for us. |

Btw , almsot forgot about Deadly fall but i find the way to get the perfect start just before moguls , after the beginning , while you are on the air , press A and you can save a frame (just found it 10min ago so the 75 is on :3) |

so , i did some test and its kinda like at least a fraction of frame saved (maybe half idk) but i doubt this will bring me the 17(13) on CL , i need something else and this will be good to aim for it for a bizhawk TAS (btw i will focus on DF glitchless MS this month exclusively (on live) at the mid-end of december exactly , Good luck for the players to focus on it!) |
