Seriously though, looks like a VHC / Vertical Horizontal Conversion (AKA your horizontal speed getting converted into vertical speed, useful in TASes; RTA uses a simple form if it, super bouncing). Not sure exactly how it happened here, but funny to see nonetheless LOL

Correction: HVC, not VHC. Horizontal/Vertical conversion. VHC is your vertical speed getting converted into horizontal speed.

I almost exclusively speedrun "skipless", in other words I restrict myself by not doing a bunch of skips and glitches. The problem with skips in this game is, what do we constitute a skip? It's far worse with glitches. One could argue that Super Bounce is not a glitch, but an exploit. And a Super Bounce, or at least smaller forms thereof, is done all the time in casual play. We just abuse it to its fullest to get a lot of vertical speed.

There are a lot of small things like that that make defining a glitchless category rather arbitrary. Skipless would be nice, but this too is arbitrary. What constitutes a skip? I used to do door skips in Pyramid Cave but eventually stopped doing even those, even though they only save 1/2 second/s and 20 seconds ish respectively. Are we allowed to do Axl jump in Hidden Base? There are many more small, dumb stuff like this. It becomes too arbitrary, and that's why there likely won't be any skipless (let alone glitchless) categories. (Also, for reference, I only do PC Skip in 180 Emblems speedruns lol)

Actually, due to the nature of the game, I don't understand the goal. Basically finish all the mini-games with all 3 stars? Because the game does not really have a "finished" state, no credits or anything, making it rather confusing.

Hello. I am interested in trying to speedrun this game for the heck of it, but the only problem is that the rules of the categories do not state when the timing is supposed to start and when it ends, and the current world record does not have any video.

When does timing start and end?
