Thread: How Are Runs Information

How Are Runs is an online speedrunning marathon that focuses on entertainment first. Our November event will run on the 11th and 12th, going offline at night.

How Are Runs was originally conceived by Cosmeme before being acquired before its first broadcast. The event is meant to serve as an answer to those frustrated with how difficult it is to have obscure speed games showcased by larger marathons. How Are Runs welcomes a large variety of speedruns and speedrunners, allowing the showing of obscure games and uncensored runners/commentators.

Any questions regarding How Are Runs can be asked in our marathon forum, Discord, or Twitter.

Yes I read your post Hydro and you didn't mention anything about CPU Clock Override, which is found under the Advanced tab on Config.

I think this is required to be disabled but don't quote me on that.

Correction, cutscenes do in fact work. You need to have the external frame buffer under Hacks to be enabled and on Real. However, that will slow down your computer a fair bit if you don't have a good computer.

Question regarding the emulator things, how many runners do we even have that run on a console? I know that Arlynia runs on an actual console, but I'm not sure who else uses it. If it were up to me, I'd probably set off the console vs emulator debate for later since all but two of the runs on the Any% leaderboards are actually on a physical console. If we split up the emulators and actual consoles, we would probably have one list with all of the runs and another that would stay barren with a single run. I'm considering getting a copy of the game for GameCube as well as a capture card, and I might be able to switch from Emu to console since I have a console handy, not sure if I can say the same about others though.

The "Edit Theme" button on the bottom of the left side of the game you moderate allows you to change the colours and background of the page displayed for your game. For example, you can change the colour of the outlines of the boxes, or you can change the background to be a picture. To add the variable categories, i.e sub categories, go to the "Edit Game" button, then scroll down to "Extra variables/subcategories". Here you can change properties of that subcategory and assign it to specific categories. If you want to have subcategories for IL runs, scroll up just a little bit to "Individual level categories", and create one there.

Just asking whether or not categories such as Two Star and One Star will be added to the Level Leaderboards.
