Challonge.com is a great website for tournament brackets. If you log in before creating a new tournament, you can choose to let people sign up via their website.

Does this mean you have to do all of the tracks in order? Or can you do them in any order as long as you start with 1 and end with 15? I like to get the hard tracks out of the way first.

Speed still matters if multiple people get the same amount of portals.

You could just make it a challenge run instead of a speedrun. The person who is able to beat the game using the least portals has WR. If two people tie, the person who has the lowest time wins.

I guess it would be safer to use 5 seconds because I'm pretty sure you can save 0.03 seconds off every segment by alt-tabbing out during the loading screens (I found out because I saved .03 seconds if I alt-tabbed before tube ride / the fall).

Í've always used both LiveSplit and the demo timer at the same time during runs. LiveSplit has never been off by more than 3 seconds after a full run.

For my last PB, LiveSplit said 1:17:49.71 and the demo timer said 1:17:50.983.

I don't know what you can and can't open on a mac, but I know you can retime demos after your run using this tool: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wnu2we07wtok0vt/Portal2DemoTimer.exe

Alternatively, you can manually go through all of your demos and add up the times.

You can also submit runs without game time, but I think you can't get a better rank than 105th if you choose to do so.
