“Ok so I quit bedrock speedrunning.” Ya know, literally the first thing you said in your “I retire” forum, but how dare they talk about you quitting. Also, for someone who is just running for themselves and a couple of people you seem to care a whole lot about what random people in the community think about you. After you tried to pass your run as a console run that really hurt your reputation, but didn’t completely destroy it. Now though, you have completely destroyed it with all of these posts trying to make sure everyone still loves Calvin. Just shut up and accept that a lot of people don’t like you now, I’m not usually one to be harsh like this but you need to just be quiet about this and stop keeping this drama alive. |

I can’t remember the exact chances, but the village center has to be at least 512 blocks away from 0 0 in any direction, and 700-1100 ish are the most optimal coordinates to find a stronghold |

Honestly Calvin, you should stop while you still have some integrity to your name. I know it sucks cause you didn’t cheat the actual run, but you did lie and break sr.c’s rules seriously to be banned. If you keep running and just upload the run to YouTube, I know that a good amount of people will still know that the run isn’t cheated. I think you just have to cut your losses, keep running and upload the run to YT, and give up on submitting to sr.c |

@owinisgood I agree you don’t need to make a forum about it, I wasn’t the one who made the forum, but since it was already made I figured I’d argue my point |

@OwinsgoodOwinsgood of course I know if I completed a good run and I know if my run is real, but it feels really good to see it on the leaderboard, that’s the whole reason why the leaderboard exists. I don’t really care if other people look at my runs, but to see your run on a global leaderboard is really cool |

@MaelstromXDMaelstromXD I expect mods to do for me what they volunteered to do for me. If they are busy irl and there are a lot of runs being submitted, I understand it taking longer than three weeks, but the verification has to be some sort of priority for them because by becoming mod they agreed to make it a priority. I am extremely grateful for the mods, they are helping us, and that’s why I don’t immediately start bugging them any time they get a little behind. But it is still up to them to verify as many runs as they reasonably can as quickly as they reasonably can |

In all seriousness though, yeah, mods have lives, but they volunteered to do something where the expectation is to have it done within three weeks of it being submitted. Sure, it’s unreasonable to expect that it will be done before 3 weeks every single time, but once it gets to a month+, you can’t just hide behind “mods have lives” cause you willingly volunteered to take on this responsibility |

@doraplayzdoraplayz I understand not answering old questions that have already been discussed or providing another opinion on something that was already talked about months ago, but in this instance, there was never an answer to to temp’s question, so I feel like it’s fine to answer it. If it were six+ months ago then yeah, just leave it, but with it being only two months and the fact that it never got an answer, I think that answering is the right thing to do |

Forum: Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Thread: Hey there, new to speedrunning Started by: MISTER_OWLMISTER_OWL |
@MaelstromXDMaelstromXD texture packs are always in resource packs, whereas game modifications are in behavior packs. If you show yourself putting in a resource pack, then there will be nothing the mods would be suspicious about, because even if you modified a resource pack to give you unfair advantages, when you import it back in the game it would move to behavior pack (at least to my knowledge, if you tried hard enough you may be able to get it in resource, but even with that, it isn’t suspicious to use a texture pack as long as it doesn’t give any unfair advantages in textures) |

Forum: Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Thread: An option to the run if played witn F3 or not? Started by: ArjuntheRageGuyArjuntheRageGuy |
I don’t think that the F3 addon is allowed, but even if it is, I don’t think we need a filter for it. The bedrock F3 addon doesn’t allow you to eray or use pie chart, and angle checking wonder pearls isn’t as important on bedrock as Java since most of the time the stronghold is u set a village. The F3 just doesn’t help that much for bedrock speedrunning, so it doesn’t need its own filter even if it is allowed |

Forum: Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Thread: Stop telling console players just don't update your game Started by: |
@goldenONXgoldenONX yes, you are right on the fact that this is a speedrunning website, so people saying don’t update shouldn’t be looked at as giving negative or bad advice. But, what I think norris’s point is is that there are some people who give that advice in a way that solves all problems. Like when someone complains about a new update, someone will say just don’t update, when some people either already have or want to go to a new version. Saying don’t update isn’t bad advice, but it isn’t a meet all ends all solution |

Forum: Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Thread: No dungeon in 3761 1.17! Started by: NinjaBanana08NinjaBanana08 |
For all the console players who cannot go back in versions: in 1.17, the dungeon that gives you your iron no longer spawns in the seed 376166226. If you mostly do ssg and don’t play normal survival much, you might want to stop your console from updating the game so you don’t lose the dungeon. |
