Thread: Why is 1964 the preferred emulator?

yeah, it's because of the kb+m hooking program that comes with (at least the bundle i got) 1964. Also because that version of 1964 is optimised for GE/PD to run 60fps... usually.

Thread: What about Survival, Underground and Resistance?

Survival, sure as people already 'speedrun' it (as you said, there's already a record). I've been tempted to try this myself but I'm quite slow with survival, not because I'm bad, but because I like to loot way too much.
Underground is ehh because no one really speedruns it anyways so no real point in going very in depth with it. I think some people did in 1.7 but I'm pretty sure that was a one-off.
Resistance is a no from me. "Speedrunning" a wave survival scenario is imo a dumb idea. Might just be me though really.

Looking at it, it doesn't seem like there will be any downtime between the global events as you can already start completing the second GE missions which means there will always be some sort of gimmick. The next one seems like increased close range damage.

I suppose the only way we'll really know is when the first one ends in like two days.

Thread: Properly timing NG+ category

I think it's 'time w/o loads' to balance runs with PC and Console because PC will load much faster than Console and I think we all see the unfairness in that.

On a sidenote, I just nailed a 1:35:33 NG+ RTA w/ loads but sadly the last battle bugged and Bliss teleported to the next dimension.

I'm a little confused on the timing for a submittable NG+ category as the rules are a little bland. Is it run the time from mission start to mission complete and pause inbetween? What am I missing here because I've actually ran NG+ solo with a 1:47:26 but it's RTA.
