I would suggest that the timer starts the moment you press space to dismiss the good luck text. Smashing space to get through those 5 messages is very annoying expecially if you reset a lot and keeping the messages in the time is just useless.

Also the timing should be stated in the rules.
e.g. "Beat the game as fast as possible. Timing starts after you press space on the "Good Luck" screen and ends when you touch the blue flame of the boss' corpse."

Shouldn't be too hard to replicate. The hitbox of the star holding the platforms is very weird (panenkoek did a good video on this) and jumping into it can cause a downwarp.

In the rules it is stated that if you accidentally go oob and DO benefit from it, you have to load the latest save. I dont think you have to if you dont benefit from it
