ive just now caught up on this forum, been dealing with my mental health away from speedrunning, been just hanging mostly. i think we can all understand a needed break despite an inopportune time in this topic's case. i havnt been reading for a couple of weeks, reached out to plywood and the plan is to have this resolved by the end of the week (forbidding some insane bombshell no one sees coming. if you have it speak now for the love of god). I agree with limes that it's probably the easiest way to require something in the description going forward. Previous runs would naturally unaffected by that requirement. that's my two cents on where things stand now. (lol 69th comment, nice) |

re: being slow. at least if you want to take shots at me specifically, DM me about that one if you want. Im only going to explain my perspective involving private things in private, this simply isnt the place. repeatzzzz coming on when he did was a godsend at least from my perspective at the time. very appreciative for volunteering his time to the board. re: WRs, these don't get or deserve verification priority, at least from me. sorry. if it was watched live as it happened thatd be one thing but they're still just another run on the spreadsheet. on topic: i and others have agreed that if you chose not to submit your time or decided to remove it of your own volition thats on you, sorry. you should be in or not imo. if you dont want to be part of the board why do you care about what the rules of said board are? |

i really have no additional reasons to add to why im also against this given reasons above by wood jag and biggu. this port (at least according to the manual shared in the discord) had the microsoft sidewinder gamepad in mind. which had no analogue, a few face buttons and 2 triggers. until now "360" on this version was only achievable in FPV movement or the auto aim at enemies. That being said if the vote allows this and we go for a variable we can just remove turbo on PC and replace it with analogue in the name of cleanliness right? |

I must agree that 2B seems like the better option than arms racing ourselves (which is what keeps me away from console personally from a competitive standpoint); I do not think under any circumstances that emulation should be faster than the load times of the fastest existing hardware; whether that be PSTV (which will now cost an arm or a leg currently *at least for me at $250 on eBay) or whatever else in the future. The fact this can be achieved by an i5-2000 series CPU and still remain competitive should the runner desire to compete for top times is very nice; meaning this emulator can almost match the fastest existing hardware on a potato is something that is very encouraging in my eyes. |
