Meta I was thinking of suggesting that actually, since I have already sorted my games like that in a way.. |

Question about one feature that was deleted - Why is the leaderboard that shows the people with most runs, categories & games gone? |
Forum: Supporter Thread: First suggestion thread Started by: |
Following runners - agreed. Same with subscribing/following certain threads in a forum would be handy if it's already not a thing, instead of having forums open and refreshing their page constantly. |

I never liked the update where the stats are shown at the right side of the profile. It just creates too much clutter in my opinion. These stats are fun to look at sometimes, but I don't need them all the time. I would prefer a toggle to run it on & off (Already had this with custom CSS editor, but would like to have it with an actual implementation) - or putting it as a tab of its own. Then, for the new UI change in the profiles; splitting the run into two rows. I don't know why this was done, but can't say much else than it looks much less pretty, probably due to creating even more clutter. |

Thank you Daeja, appreciate it. I was trying to click the star at the top in the featured section, it would make sense to make that star also an on-off toggle. |

Is there a way to unfeature a run? I don't like how much it takes space due to the video, so I would like to have none featured. |
Forum: Multiple Valve Games Thread: Portal Series Run? Started by: Big_MukmukBig_Mukmuk |
All in all, it really depends on someone actually doing a run of a multi-game concept before it'll be added as a leaderboard, empty categories are pointless. |
Forum: Multiple Valve Games Thread: Portal Series Run? Started by: Big_MukmukBig_Mukmuk |
I can add a Portal Series that consists only Portal 1 & 2 when there is at least one run of it that you can submit for the leaderboard. For the spin-offs, I'll leave that up to Msushi's decision. For the mods, it's kinda debatable if we should add those here at all, since the name of the leaderboard page suggests Multiple Valve Games. On the other hand, I would want those myself for HL2 mods' purposes, so I'm asking that from Msushi as well. |

Msushi had answered this in a DM discussion, so I quote him here (with permission): "i dont know who i talked to about this but basically the huge question is the run would probably include mods and theres a gray area of what portal should in the "series" run and what shouldn't be |

If you mean the bonzi ending, that's already the main category. If you mean the ascension ending, that's a no-go cuz the route would be the exact same as True Ending Out of Bounds. |
Forum: Watching Paint Dry: The Game Thread: New Category? Started by: rougewafflesrougewaffles |
What's the ending exactly? Grass grow ending was a thing before but it was just too short to be competitive enough as a category. There's also one ending that is way too similar to one of the endings so it was cut out as well. |
Forum: Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus (PC) Thread: Timing the runs Started by: |
Since there was no clear ruling on the game, I added it to the rules. And to specify the exact frames that I am going to re-time the current runs, as well as the future runs: Time starts from file select, a clear black screen appears at the start of the loading screen. The timer ends when you have defeated Wenlock (final boss). Timing the runs on the exact frame is quite difficult, but the death animation starts from Wenlock bending forward. With this, old runs have been re-timed, and to go back to the two runs I made a post about 2 months ago: |
Forum: Minecraft Custom Content Thread: Are mods allowed to be submitted? Started by: |
What about modpacks? Their gameplay differs vastly from vanilla. I've been speedrunning SevTech: Ages up to age 1 for 19 hours in total now (and still running it), and it'd be nice to have my effort up somewhere. There's also an SSG run of it on YT and I plan on doing an SSG run as well. |
Forum: Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus (PC) Thread: Timing the runs Started by: |
What's the current rule for timing the run? When does it start and when does it end? In the HappyPigsGaming's 20:02, the timer starts from gameplay, but in Tooshi's 20:04 it starts from the name selection. Also, what's the exact frame when the timer ends at? Cuz I timed Tooshi's run when the magic trail stops moving and it's 20:04.10, not 20:04.29. Re-timing HappyPigsGaming's 20:04 start being from the name select to magic trail stop, the run is 20:04.45, so not even a new world record. |

Forum: The Site Thread: Moderators: What is your craziest, weirdest, and/or funniest experience while moderating on sr.c? Started by: [Deleted user] |
There were some other problems with this guy as well: There's a leaderboard I moderate with dozens of runs and runners, and the other guy who wanted to re-organize those series again asked if it was a good idea to re-time all of the runs based on the ending of the run. After discussing this with the other mods we told him no, the runs are good the way they are. I guess saying no wasn't good enough, because he decided to re-time them anyway despite not being the leading moderator lol. We scolded him for that and he offered to re-time them all back again himself. Then when he stopped running, a few weeks after, for some reason he decided to remove all his runs from the site. I asked him why and he just said that simply cuz he stopped speedrunning. ~1-2 years after, his friend did the same. I can't get behind that thought process. |
