I agree with you, I despite the FTL challenge a lot. I commented about it in my runs way back when.

@coolperson This is mostly towards you. I have nothing against the run you've done (and it looks amazing, I'll give you that!) but since we mark down times to the decimals of the seconds, it's very important that you supply a results screen at the end of the run. I know you didn't intend for this to happen, and I know you didn't do it on purpose, but we use this for proofing runs.

You can amend this by sending me some replay files or adding the results screen by editing your run submissions. I'm Kitoko#7323 if you need to send replay files through Discord.

I'm going to let you go ahead and correct things if need be, and hopefully for anyone else who runs the game, please watch out.

The Sonic Fan-Game series (Link: https://www.speedrun.com/sonic_fan_games ) has been dormant for over half a year. blazethecat has since left the community in pursuit of a cartography career, and is no longer interested in speedrunning, and I can't get in contact with her anymore. I'd like to request to become moderator of that series so that the series can continue to have moderation. I do not intend to replace her or the marvelous job she's done of the page (and thus feel no need for her to be removed) but she hasn't paid any attention to the series whatsoever, and I already know a few people who need their game requests considered. May I please be assigned as a moderator for the Sonic Fan Games? I'm aware that kirbyfan has requested this already, but I tried my best to wait a little while.

I honestly feel that you should just submit it anyway, there's no harm in submitting it, and if you beat it before it gets verified then congratulations! You can always edit your submission, anyway.

I used to do something very similar to you. I used to attack it trying to find a reliable way to get up there and I eventually did find a very consistent one, just on a different polygon. this one looks nicer, so well done.

I haven't touched a thing, in fact I was going to get around to checking on the run just today, but it seems stuff went down.

I was not aware that kart models affect their hit-box.

In response to Alayan, you essentially want a heavy kart CPU when starting a race, as this lets you speed ahead, collect a box, and gain a lead where the CPUs can't touch you with more plentiful items like Cupcake or Bowling Ball, and yes I've been aware of this. In fact, the karts you get when starting a race are affected by which tab you pick in kart select. If you pick all, every kart is included, even add-ons. You can have only add-on karts appear if you pick the add-ons tab.

I always pick the stock kart tab when I start a run. Now, the main problem here is that if you're trying to add this rule of adding/removing karts to the roster, you would end up having to reserve the add-ons list for your specified dummy kart, yet there are people who like having more than one add-on kart. And then, after all that, we need to question this additional character's hit-box. It's under this hindsight that I feel this rule should never come to be, as it would create more problems than solve.

Anyway, the whole "Let custom characters" thing arose from when people wanted to play as their favourite character, while still being able to use the optimal kart class (which is still Medium for all cases, except select ILs) However, I thought the game would only accept certain kart classes and have a specific unicharacter hit-box at the time, but it seems that is not the case anymore.

I honestly feel like it would do better with more decoration. It already has fantastic run ray-tracing in higher quality modes, but yeah it's still pretty dull. Thanks, I'll have to consider my choices in the GP some day from this.

I never had any accusations. The only reason I brought this up was the fact that nobody had set in any standards for this thing yet, and I noticed people freaking out over it. At least they did the right thing and asked other people instead of freak out over it and deny the run. That's something that cannot be said for most of the internet, so I'm glad it worked out the way it did. They just haven't seen someone as effective at ILs as me yet so it caught them off-guard.

However the devteam did suggest being able to upload the replay and having the server do some sanity checks on it, so things are looking up for the replay system.

As for uploading the replay, you could use something as simple as https://puush.me/

It would be impossible to get 13 points in 2 races.

I was considering adding an amendment to the rules to help with proofing, to be allpied from that point and forth.

Rule: Upload a replay file and link it in your comment. Replay proof is always required for the top three positions of a leaderboard.

How would anyone feel about this? Not only would it help with proofing but also give other players the ability to improve the level even further.

That would be ultra useful to organization and anyone wanting to watch the marathon as well.

I'm going to try this tomorrow, and do a test run of Any% using thism and see how it works.
