In this version, the "stack height" of the opponent is represented by the bar on the left. There isn't enough screen real-estate to show a CPU opponent's playfield (and it may not actually be simulating a game so much as tweaking how fast it rises/falls depending on the kinds of attacks you send), but it tries to mimic the notion of sending/receiving magical attacks nonetheless. |
Forum: Robotron 64 Thread: Are cheats allowed? Started by: KeithHoodKeithHood |
If cheats were determined to be a separate category, why was a run using the 50 lives cheat accepted to the main 200 Waves category? Shouldn't that be moved? The other two runs spend time farming for lives at the beginning of the game, whereas KeithHood's just dashes straight into things with 50 lives right from the start. The times aren't really comparable as a result. |

@sYn: "Eventually it will clear up (I think, though I haven't exactly figured out when it clears) however it's usually a run ender." <-- The orphaned blocks are there for the rest of the game, I'm afraid. The only thing that resolves the issues somewhat is that you're less likely to bump into them when the gravity increases. In that sense, any garbage in the vanish zone stops being a problem once you get far enough into the game. |
