Thread: Explaining every glitch and changes to the Glitchless categories.

I'm putting this thread to clarify on everything about the glitchless category and what things runners aren't supposed to perform during the run of any glitchless category.

Part 1: Let's start with every banned glitch, how they work and what they do exactly.

1. Jump Glitch - This is by far the most differentiating glitch between any Glitches and glitchless categories. It can be executed in almost every level and compared to the Glitchless category saves exactly 10 minutes. For the most times, the glitch is not particularly hard to execute, but it requires a bit of practice. Here's a video example: https:/​/​bit.​ly/​351QNh9

2. Jump Glitch with boxes - This glitch is not very useful, but if done correctly it can save a tiny bit of time in level 7. The Glitch can be done also in level 18, but it's not particularly useful, considering there's a faster and glitchless method to overcome the same obstacle. The glitch itself is not very complicated to achieve in 1,27 and 1,4 (haven't tested on the newest yet) by placing yellow block or box in a mid-air and then the game lets the player climb on it without touching the ground, in instance with the yellow block it can let you infinitely gain height. 3. Boss Skip Glitch - This glitch is very obscure and luck-based, but it's achievable without needing to execute the Jump Glitch, therefore It's not recommended to anyone ever attempt it during the speedrun. But it's still must be mentioned. Here's a video example: https:/​/​bit.​ly/​36jfK7Z

4. Out of bounds - This is not a glitch, but these are the places where the player was never intended to get into according to the game rules. Out of bounds stuff are very common in any% but there are instances where the player can visit OOB places without needing to execute any glitch. The first one is Level 5, in this level out of bounds state can be achieved by placing "Portals" very close to each other and therefore the player can see a magma textured background which is technically out of bounds. But by the game rules player is supposed to gain enough speed scorching through portals until it's enough to complete the level. So there were some situations in the glitchless runs for some runners where they accidentally achieved this condition, but I still accepted these runs (believe this was my fault for not informing about this earlier), but next time I really encourage runners to complete this level in-bounds. Moving on there are some other out of bounds places this includes level 10 and level 18. Talking about level 10 out of bounds in this level is considered when the player steps outside the boundaries of mini-lab thing and steps in the area where the dinosaur is located, but by the game rules dinosaur is supposed to break a window instead of a player. In level 18 on version 1,40 and older it's possible to jump on the top of a sleeping dragon and it let's player shorten the distance to the "Airhorn". Considering that dinosaur has some not solid parts and odd hitboxes, so It was obviously not intended for the player to visit this place and therefore it is considered as out of bounds. All in all, out of bound skips, if done correctly, can save about 25 seconds. Here's a video example of all these : https:/​/​bit.​ly/​340Ucv5

Part 2: Changes to the glitchless category, it won't affect older runs and this is a minor change.

I decided to add one more glitch to the banned glitches list and it is an "Item Clipping". It's a pretty minor glitch which can be useful in Level 15 and 16. It's possible to clip any pickable item through any "semi-solid" materials like glass and certain thin walls or objects. By doing all these glitches in any% it can save about 10-15 seconds. Thread: Glitchless question

When the animation of exiting from the car finishes, If you quick enough it's possible to make a jump and climb on the top of the crusher, it's probably due to a hitbox of car that prevents from falling immediately upon exiting the car, therefore, this skip is possible. But Since this skip uses intended mechanics and doesn't look too much game-breaking I did not classify it as a glitch.
But I'll be making some rule changes in the Glitchless category very soon. I'll make a post in a few days to inform everyone about the changes, so stay tuned.

Level 3 Jump Giltch works on 1.40 and older versions. If you play on steam you can downgrade using this guide https:/​/​steamcommunity.​com/​sharedfiles/​filedetails/​?id=1086279994 .

In general, I recommend to speedrun any% using 1.40 since newer versions prevents to do a couple time saving stuff In level 3 and level 18.

And yes most of infinite jump glitches are doable by jumping from low ledges.

This game does not seem to provide key binding tool. But if you know how to do this you can give it a try unless this tool doesn't break into game's memory or anything else. But in general space should be a still good option to play this game.
