your hand spawns offscreen a little bit, as long as the hand is spawned before you press R you can just click right when you get back in and the pencil goes straight in. just have to get familiar with the timing on the R press.

They are not allowed to be mounted on anything that is not part of your body. The sharpener was mounted between the runner's knees. This falls within the category rules and is a valid strategy.

There is a fairly active IL leaderboard run in the japanese community (open to all runners). Because that's available, we don't really feel the need to have our own on srdc. The japanese board has all the game modes, and keeps track of records per vehicle on each track, so each vehicle gets competitive times versus only focusing on the "fastest" vehicle per track. 1. Go into solo arcade, select party mode, choose any characters
2. Change item rate or quick/hard drop settings and start the game
3. Quit to main menu, then go to adventure mode
4. Select a scene with party mode, and those settings should be the same.
So far those are the only two settings I've found that carry over into adventure mode, doesn't look like anything carries over in swap mode. Using the switch version.

The dog search in sand zone makes me want separate categories, since that changes how you play through it instead of just cutting out downtime.
