All you have to do is stop checking the thread. I want this guy to at least respond and learn from his mistakes if he doesn't get punished for it. If no one is willing to say something about it and see the Talk forums flooded then I will. Also there's so many threads that don't deserve the second forum page that have it anyway, some have way more pages than they should and this is certainly not the first one.

That is true, however you have to take into account that this is a forum, not a discord server. You can't just make a new thread for every question you have on a forum, forums and texting/chatting applications have been different since the dawn of time. Furthermore, the questions he asks are either questions that literally take 1 second to answer if you do the tiniest bit of research beforehand (such as "What's an Elo staff?") , or dumb questions that don't have an answer such as "Who's the best mod who verify runs" etc.

Do you have like a job or something?
Also I like how you made this thread for people to share their hobbies and occupations without you doing the same.

why do you expect calling out a random person in a thread they'll probably never see, read, or care about to actually do anything

This will pressure him into saying something about it, ignoring this thread will only make his reputation worse in the eyes of the other forum chatters which can probably lead to possibly getting banned from ever moderating a game again and maybe even to cyberbullying if this goes far enough.
Also this is not a "random person", he has been making new threads for every question that he has for a few weeks by now.

Not sure what you're expecting to accomplish by calling out a random person with a thread they'll probably never see, read, or care about.

Title says it all.

Can't change like that in just a week. Based on his forum posts I am fairly certain he is young and doesn't really know what he's doing wrong, which means it's even less likely for them to change that drastically. Also, I haven't seen him admit to mod farming or post farming once ever since he started making forum posts (at least not until I called them out, let's see if he says anything about it).

Good luck defending against this. Literally not surprised at all to find these gems buried deep in his forum posts.

Why do you have to make a thread for every single question that you have, you're literally flooding the Talk forums with pointless questions and the only valid reason I could find for this is to be able to farm posts easier.

Thread: I come here to complain about site staff of speedrun.com

Started by: Pengu_KnightPengu_Knight

Originally posted by Liv The site mods are now employees at ELO, however you can't expect them to be available at all times (or as you put it "immediately") for a userbase of currently 900K users.

While I can't deny that 900k users is a sizeable amount the number of users shouldn't be an excuse for them not having a large enough team to handle the site and the community's feedback. There are only 5 accounts on the entire site with the site staff badge (1 of which being an alt), and even if I give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that there's more people than just these 4 people working behind the scenes I doubt there are a lot more people working at src behind the scenes. I work with people that run smaller websites than speedrun.com but have a way larger team, usually consisting of at least 15 people, and I also work with people that run websites with millions of active users on a monthly basis which also have a sizeable team.
Yes, you can't expect them to be available at all times, which is exactly why they need more mods or volunteers. That way it becomes increasingly more likely for someone to be available for you and all other users that might need help.

I know this will sound very dark but I hope this isn't a last message before committing suicide because it truly did sound that way to me at least.
Life is too precious to be taken away. Even if it's a life that's too hard to live. Everything can be overcome with enough time and patience. I'm not trying to be a generic motivational speaker over here but know that you're not the only one going through these hard times.

I've been off the forums for the past 3 days, have you also started adding beta testers or something because I've seen a few forum posts saying stuff like "they added beta testers" or something. I want to know if it's misinformation or if they genuinely got added.

generally you can't request games that aren't finished yet, but it has happened before

I've also done it in the past and only a month ago it finally got accepted, even though I've requested 127 as far back as April of this year, so I don't know if that makes me a "well-known user" or not.
