Forum: Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series

Thread: About developing the leaderboard

The game converter is simple, just a PS2 controller that can be used with the console. (I like those controllers.)
As for the binding, I consider it important, but if you say there is no need to delay it in the debate at the moment, that may be true.

As for moderators, I agree with the players who think Balneor is the right person for the job.

However, I have one thing to say here. This is because I don't think anyone probably cares.
To be clear, I consider the act of tying a 2P controller for assist to a 1P to be cheating by an external tool, unless you use an official Steam function.
In other games, it is similar to Mario 64's controller switching or JRPG's turbo.
However, I understand that it is hard to tell the difference, but I would like to see an item or input indicator that would tell me if it is a tie or not. I don't think it is required.
I do not want to do these and will run with the console.
I will use a converter, but 2P mapping is not possible unless you use very specific hardware. I think it would still be more reliable proof than an input display.

Thread: Ban emulator runs in Lunatea's Veil ? Discussion thread

At least you have the money to buy a PC running the emulator, but I don't think it's difficult to get a console and a copy or to buy a capture for financial reasons.
Personally, I guarantee that the Klonoa series is worth more than its price.

・ Emulator itself is unstable
・ Fastest speed loading times
・ Depends on computer spec

It's difficult to verify load differences and correct time in all scenes and loads.
Emulators make illegal execution easier and require more validation, but they don't think they can do it much more easily than a console to see everything and I cannot allow the emulator with the leaderboard on srcom.

I personally think that this game should not allow emulator runs.
So I agree with the negative opinions of other emulators. In addition, if you talk more realistically, there is a problem that Popka's category becomes extremely simple and easy if you key bind for second player controller buttons to 1 player controller.
