The best method for me is delaying the monster potion drink and you can check immediately if she's in the top left corner |

You need to slightly delay the monster potion used in the start of the level if I remember right |
Forum: Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Thread: NORMAL DIFICULTY? Started by: [Deleted user] |
Another thing to mention is in many games with varying difficulty consider that a category can always become a thing if for some reason there is popularity for it. Most people won't do Normal because Any% and Madhouse both do their jobs effectively while Normal just seems like a more annoying Any% |

So is the rule for starting on 1B solely because the rockets are not guaranteed? Wouldn't this be faster regardless since you wouldn't be required to do 1A? |
Forum: Clock Tower (SNES) Thread: Endings Started by: |
It's honestly best watching a vod. Ruadath's TAS or my most recent PB highlight it well. I also have a video on my channel showing it off. Describing it over text for the exact frame is not possible |

Forum: Clock Tower (SNES) Thread: Endings Started by: |
Really you just need to know how to do S, G, H, and D PSX is not good for speedrunning so D won't be fun Categories S-F traditionally are just S-Ending with different requirements S: Truth From Dad, Bobby, Crow, 3rd Floor Glitched D : No friends die leave in car Refer to my S-Ending Tutorial for the full route. PSX/PC subtract entirely from the speedrun and I wouldn't recommend either one |

Forum: Silent Hill: Homecoming Thread: PC version is allowed here? Started by: PyramidKPyramidK |
PyramidK allow me for a moment to talk you out of doing PC You will always be 7 minutes behind because there is an unskippable cutscene exclusive to PS3 and PC It is doable but infinitely better on XBOX360, But I do understand cost is an issue |

Forum: Sweet Home Thread: Is Saving During The Run Allowed? Started by: |
Hi, So I was looking into the run for this and I think I understand most of it, I've only been able to watch the marathon run so far but is saving using the menu save mid run to account for bad RNG allowed during the game? I know plenty of games require single segment but didn't see anything listed in the rules here |
Forum: Aliens Vs. Predator (2010) Thread: Blowing up the Elite Predator Started by: SnowfatsSnowfats |
Oddly enough the Elite Predator hasn't been much of an issue for me, holding right and spamming light attacks seems to dominate him every time. The others however I can't do for the life of me. Would the barrels only be viable on full health? |
Forum: Clock Tower 3 Thread: Adding Emu tabs Started by: drwobblebottomsdrwobblebottoms |
Honestly for emulator I'd say either go the route of Haunting Ground and make it a misc category where it's entirely emu v emu, or go the Silent Hill 1 route and have all emulator runs hidden by default(meaning they don't really count) Emulation on a PS2 is not accurate enough to compare. More importantly games like Haunting Ground have a reason for needing an emulator category considering it's both hard to find and expensive. Clock Tower 3 is probably the easiest in the entire series to find and is normally like $15 + a capture card being $20-$40. This entire bundle is less than Haunting Ground pricewise. Ultimately though this is a decision that should likely come down to Speedwerd, TheMixedHerb, DrWobblebottoms, and potentially Carci if he is still active in this game. |

Forum: Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion Thread: Sticky Keys V.S. Non-Sticky Keys Started by: |
How fast it truly is? Do room 810 with and without it and see which one is TRULY faster. Sticky Keys saves time on every single elevator or waiting section. Not using it will 100% be slower in every scenario unless you manage to kill yourself by doing it which isn't too hard to avoid |
Forum: Silent Hill Thread: Controllers Started by: RheinmetallRheinmetall |
I use a PS2 Controller thats analog stick is physically missing pieces. Fits me like a glove and has given not too many issues. D-Pad was never good, it was required and thats arguably the best answer in regards to that. Some controllers will physically age though so a PS3 controller if you are used to it would be entirely better. It's pretty much Comfort is King |

Are you playing on Emulator or Original Hardware? If I remember right certain jumps are much harder on emulator and become near impossible. |

So with the currents strats available would more be able to be skipped? I heard in one of the vods you could technically get to the mushroom early but it wouldn't be loaded in at that point, it seems like the trick is doable in multiple locations? |
