Yeah, happytimer is great to measure single levels, but its not that useful for full game speedruns because its impossible to measure time after ending lvl to start new. |

Hi @OrsOrs Great to see new runner with some new ideas. I was totally not aware of DOS version xmas edition. Ofcourse DOS categories should exist, I would even say it should be main category, and normal any% should be something like non-ladder in diablo2. I downloaded a game from here https://dosgames.com/game/happyland-adventures-x-mas-edition/ I used DOSBOX without any special settings(I kinda dont know if its needed but we should play on the same cycles right?), and didnt saw any differences between versions for any% run. |

I would love to incorporate your timer into full gameplay if we can't really resolve this. I think we dont need splits or anything like this(would be nice but whatever), but I would just love to have addition from previous lvls or just some history. I would be totally ok with adding some arbitrary time for every hourglass taken like +1sec because HappyTimer don't count remaining seconds after ending a level. Holy, I just get smartest idea of my life. You record your gameplay of one level with HappyTimer and normal timer(like 3 minute gameplay of one level). Than you divide happy timer time by normal time and we get standarized time, then you can use normal livesplit f.e. It could also apply for previous records if they were made on same computer. I would make 2 columns for normal time and standarize time, just to not confuse people who are not competing for WR. |

Hey guys! I'm visiting my parents right now for easter and I wanted to play some happyland after Grosz's WR(Congratz!). I played a game for sometime, running single levels to learn routes one more time so I wasnt using OBS, didnt need to. I was only using livesplit and times were totally normal. Then I opened OBS and started recording and oooh boy game is faster. Like wtf faster, I got 16:58 with death which is absurdally fast. I never thought it can be caused by OBS lol I have here windows7 64bit i5 2400k, geforce 650ti. A differnce between runes is like 10%. Im trying different settings right now but everything speeds the game to same high speed. |

It can be true, I didnt saw any difference between versions. You might be right about my mistakes on 1.3.1 version. Still I dont know why game running on some hardware other way than on others. Thats why I wanted a game to run on 1.3.1 version. But Im totally ok with admitting my mistake. I hope we can resolve timing problem. Do you guys have some idea? I only had an idea about running game on virtual machines, but thats a little bit problematic |

I thought many times about it and I dont have an idea how to solve our problems, so when I can do nothing with this and I must accept all the scores no matter what game speed is. Unless run is cheated obviously, but I dont think anyone would cheat in this game. If ur game lagging or have some problems u need to try something, u can do anything. Changing resolutions, os, etc. So from now on I will accept any non cheated score. also I will put my 17:13 xmas edition as official wr. Edit: I didnt see my score was on 1.3 ver. so I will not put my score on leaderboard. |

Hey! Wow, this is very good idea, I didnt think a single second about running DOS version on DOSBOX. I think we should test runs on other computers and compare them. Idk what to do with xmas edition yet but maybe its ok to do whatever u want. I wrote an email to Johan Peitz is this a DOS xmas version and what we can do with acceleration(or lags, sth :P). |

We need to know more what to do with this timer case, i don't want to argue with some mods about scores. Of course I want to discuss. But when we will set everything I will give you a mod without any doubt 🙂 It's very nice to have someone more in the game, especially pretty good. I dont want to discredit your scores or sth because that was really nice run but still its a problem because that run was definitely worse than mine or Magic Bong. Don't be mad at me because I will not accept your score for now (until we will set a clear rules about it). Mine rough estimation on your play is 19:00-19:10 with magic bong and my game speed. I will try to ask some more experienced people what to do. |

Hi guys, I have a happyland adventures game for my care. Im supermod in this game and I have really big problem now. This game tend runs in other speed for many people but ingame timer is not speeded up or slowed down. I want to ask my dear experienced friends what to do with it because I dont have an idea. Its possible to scale this in some strange way? Maybe I should split categories on faster and slower? Examples: |

So that means it is faster than on my or magic bong runs. Just watch this speedruns and compare. http://prntscr.com/iir8sb Same routes, Its impossible to difference be like 2secs. |

Game runs faster but timer is the same. When you end first level and you have on timer 229-230 that means game is too fast. I did some investigation why this works like this and I think its something with resolution but i dont really know. |

Hey! Its not a problem, in happyland we dont need to have times to miliseconds. I will just subtract start from end to verify time. Try to use wsplit and add this on obs. Have fun! 🙂 |
