Uhm hello everyone? I think I would actually be cool if I had the number "1" behind "WR" on my profile instead of "0". Now I'm just some speedrunning loser wtf but .. imagine if I just had that magic "WR: 1" on my profile.. wow.. hot damn..

Nobody is whining here so that was completely unnecessary.

DOOM 2016 is completely broken in 19 seconds after the opening cutscene when starting a new game.

It's a gender neutral pronoun.

Of course there are others. And people should be able to identify how they want.
Don't worry so much about people abusing a textbox. There are a thousand places on this site you could abuse a textbox. That's why you have moderation, profanity filters and other things to combat abuse.
And I mean, if it gets out of hand, then the site learned that it's users are not yet ready for such freedom. Which I really don't expect.

Indux Gundyr should be spelled Iudex Gundyr.

Thread: Game Request Rejections 101

Started by: [Deleted user]

I don't really think it will. Also a handful of your explanations are simply doubling up on what the words themselves actually mean:

Originally posted by RubyGeneric Puzzle/Typing Games -> refers to puzzle webgames eg. Snoring, or a type speed race site, eg. Typeracer.
Geography games -> explains itself.
Vocabulary/Math and other Educational games -> games primarily designed to provide educational assistance.
Quiz games -> games that just ask questions, eg. Higher or Lower.
Generic Sudoku Solvers/Minesweeper Remakes/Rubik's Cube Solvers, etc. -> explains itself.
Non Video Game Activities -> Requesting anything that does not involve a video game.

Some of the implications are already pretty self-explanatory.
See, even if you would list things a hundred times or try and break down every word that extensively, we still can't make people read or even think about anything that is actually listed there unfortunately.

Thanks but most of this info is on the game request intro page so. You should also know that a lot of users who ask questions in the forum don't read that page. And even if they would read that, other users wouldn't read a stickied post.

I'll forward this to Elo, but please, send future security issues to Elo directly (preferably in private on security@speedrun.com) instead of posting these publicly on the forum.

@PuR3PuR3 Direct your inquiry to the mod themselves, as they should be able to appoint additional mods/verifiers if deemed necessary.

From what I know the rules for 100% (and I presume UN for that) are still being discussed. I'm sure it will reach it's way on to the board in the near future. Why not join the Discord to follow that discussion if you are not already in there? 🙂

Even if you would force users to click through a popup that asks the user to confirm that they read the rules, then some people would still not read them. From my experience a portion of that could get resolved by talking to runners after rejecting a run to ensure they read and understand the rules.

One issue with the DBD rules I see is that when you click the rules button it only shows a github link. Not sure why, but writing out the category rules on the site itself per category instead of linking them to a Github page might help. Yes, logically people should click that link but in reality that might not always be the case.

@Leo_Salvatore_7Leo_Salvatore_7 Approach the runners and ask them, not me. I would advise you to be very careful with deleting categories for arbitrary reasons, especially if the game is inactive. There should be a very good reason why a category has to be deleted.

@Leo_Salvatore_7Leo_Salvatore_7 The point was that the time you filled in was incorrect. But you fixed it now so I added you. Just please pay more attention to this in the future. If you expect us to help you, we expect you to abide by all the requirements we have set here properly. That includes having a proper run submission.
