OPL is an emulator for PS2
it will make loads too fast for RTAs
If anything it will be treated as an emulator run.

Buy another copy of KH2 if you care or replace your current PS2

So, can we select candidates to see who would fit best in each of the KH series?
Starting from the most common to the least common platform.

Personally i would like take to roll on the PS2 KH1 ports and i guess the vanilla port of BBS.
I confidently feel i can handle the responsibility as a moderator.
In addition: re routed, made notes, and made instruction tutorials on how each category works and what differences there are.

Investing time and my own funds! into learning what each platform does.
i do not mind watching one's video and help runners for those games.

Also, I dont think you have to be an "active runner" to become a mod, but a person
who is well knowledge about that specific game would be best imo.

Ninten - KH2 titles
DJ - OG KH titles

it would things VERY neat. Some of the current LB mods that are inactive
not for weeks, but for MONTHS!

honestly, I would be ok with emulator and yeah basically
PPSSPP runs better and MUCH faster than PSP(3K Model)
In addition, it does not need to have an install DATA to run faster since
it loads the game by a ROM anyways

I support emulator because, for new runners who do not have access to the console
they can play it on emulator instead. and if they care about the game enough, they would
likely invest in the console along with the game to do actual runs

Since I am the only runner (at the time) that does runs on BC PS3,
these are somethings that are worth mentioning before anyone who's willing to invest in this hardware.

Do NOT use 80gb model of the PS3 since it runs on an emulator
its best to obtain a 20gb or 60gb model
Since they run PS2 games HARDWARE wise

PS3 are region locked for:
Blu-Ray movie disc
PS1 disc
PS2 disc

PS3 is only region free with most PS3 games

In order to make the console by pass the region lock
you need to have a CFW installed your BC PS3
I recommend REBUG CFW
then install a program called REBUG TOOLBOX
inside the toolbox go to settings and select "Toggle Cobra Mode" (this will trick the system to read JP disc PS1 and PS2)

However if you have a BC PS3 then you might have to DOWNGRADE your OFW.
3.55 is the OFW you need to install a CFW, if its 3.56 or higher it will not work

The hardware runs HOT! the GPU runs about 40C and the CPU runs about 70C
From the time I have been running, it does run loud after long uses (4hrs) or sometimes random
So be sure that your room is well ventilated.

YOLD is possible however to by pass this, there is a rumor to replace the thermal paste in the PS3
since Sony did a shitty job keeping this hardware running cool. My BC PS3 does have a different thermal paste so
maybe thats why its still alive from the time i wrote this

The BC PS3 runs roughly 1-2 seconds faster than PS2 Slim per each load screen

The hardware does support a PS2 usb adapter
in addition to, supports vibration for DS2 (via usb adapter) and DS3 controllers
The hardware does DROP INPUTS after multiple attempts of running X-2
I do noticed the recent amount of dropped inputs. I read an article about this
and to paraphrase

"Sony never mastered the BC PS3 hardware all they did was make it work with the DS3 controller
Since it was soo costly to reproduce em, they just released the system from the way it currently runs."

They never released a patch to fix this (enjoy the faster hardware with dropped inputs )

The game still runs normal while you press the PS3 home button, the game never goes idle.

It also doesnt load saves from a PS2 memory card (via Memory Card usb adapter)
you have to manually port it to your PS3 or create one from the PS3

The frame rate does drop mostly in the same areas as PS2,but it does lag less than PS2 overall.

Thats basically it about the hardware. until further updates

Gog did a stream on his BC PS3 on KH expert in his drinking stream
Tojimaru did a run on BC PS3 as well but that was ages ago for KH-E

Look i did a run
it was done on ps3 however it was in the label of ps2 EVEN THO i commented on the video saying it was on ps3, a mod approved it until someone noticed and thats how this conflict happen.
Maybe if you put it in the rulez on the kh ps2 games no ps3 runs allowed.
This wouldnt have happen.

Now me being a prick for 6months or whatever has nothing to do how much I care about this hardware.

Just create a BC PS3 and ill submit for kh e and j

Whenever i submitted that run on the PS2 category i MENTIONED it was ran on BC PS3
Go ask the mods to get my rejected runs and look at the comments i made whenever i PB'D for KH-J
I even have multiple witnesses seeing that PB and it was commented ran on BC PS3 while labled PS2
(Since there was no information about it at the time)

I'm running on a Banned console, even tho SONY LETS you play PS2 games on that console

I put in the effort in making new strats for KH-J and KH-E
sure im not an AMAZING speedrunner but at least i put in the effort when it comes to routing and coming up with strats

But you know what im glad what I did and people are learning about this topic and this LB needs to evolve
