Olá, As regras do Speedrun.com nos proíbem de adicionar categorias que usam matchmaking, o que significa que não há classificação 1v1, experimental ou qualquer outra coisa. Esta mensagem foi traduzida usando o Google Tradutor. |

On a DS emulator run of Dora Saves the Mermaids, they clearly ran the emulator at double speed, resulting in a time that was almost twice as fast as the WR. Description of the youtube video called the mods some choice insults. |

Forum: The Site Thread: Platform Requests / Tagging games to be part of a series / Adjusting game type or game title Started by: |
Hello, I would like to request the implementation of a consistent naming scheme for the Go, Diego, Go! series (https://www.speedrun.com/go_diego_go). The series name, as written on the series page and pretty much all official media, is written with commas and an exclamation point (Go, Diego, Go!). This punctuation is absent from https://www.speedrun.com/gdggdr and https://www.speedrun.com/gdgrfa, and the Go, Diego, Go! title is missing entirely from the start of https://www.speedrun.com/gdgdda. For https://www.speedrun.com/diegosbar, the official title should be Mega Bloks Diego's Build and Rescue. https://www.speedrun.com/gdgrfa should be classified as a webgame (it's a Flash game). Requesting moderator for https://www.speedrun.com/go_diego_go_rain_forest_adventure . I have a run pending. Only mod has been offline for at least a month. For social media, they list Twitter and Discord (the Discord account lacks a profile picture and might be unused); their Twitter DMs are closed, so I cannot reach out to them there, and they have not responded to the Discord friend request I sent them a week ago. I just sent them a message through speedrun.com, but given that they have not responded to the pending run, I doubt a message will do anything. |

Hi @DoodleSauceDoodleSauce, have you heard about Proton? It's a piece of Valve software that allows running Windows-native games in GNU+Linux with a pretty high success rate. Portal runs natively on GNU+Linux with Steamplay, but you might be able to get Build 3420 to work as well with Proton and Wine. Even if you can't, you can still run the game on the current Steampipe version, though some tricks won't be available. |

@WolfAttacKWolfAttacK if a run's video is made private after it is verified, or if the video otherwise becomes unavailable, the camera symbol remains. As such, removing all runs without video manually would require checking every single run; as mentioned, there are almost 6000 runs. |
Forum: Brawlhalla Thread: new categorie: every legend one kill per weapon Started by: joeydegamestreamerjoeydegamestreamer |
Glad you're interested in coming up with new categories! If you join the Discord server (link is on the left), we have a whole channel devoted to discussing them. As for this particular category, I can't say it makes that much sense to me. What's the point, really? Matchmaking isn't going to happen--we will never add any categories with matchmaking--and the other subcategories seem rather dull to me. You'll spend more time navigating menus and loading than you will actually playing the game. When you do load in, you'll just do two quick zero to deaths against a bot (with the exception of the chosen and extreme bots) and then leave. It doesn't sound particularly interesting or fun. I'm also not sure there would be much interest at all. I don't think that many people would actually run this category. |

As I said last time this was suggested: "By Speedrun.com rules, no matchmaking categories will be added. While there are in fact a few leaderboards on the site that violate this rule, Brawlhalla will not be one of them." |

The Walker Attack category is now live. |
Forum: Brawlhalla Thread: Survival speedrun Started by: Captain-No-BeardCaptain-No-Beard |
I'll make the category right away. If there is a significant amount of interest, we could also do 10 waves or 15 or any other number. ItsMeCy is correct in that some leaderboards do have what Diriector_Doc called "the opposite of a speedrun;" we could add an "endurance%" or something like that, where the goal is to reach the highest wave possible, but I'm a bit skeptical of that one. |
Forum: Brawlhalla Thread: Survival speedrun Started by: Captain-No-BeardCaptain-No-Beard |
Survival is probably runnable; I have some ideas for strategies. If we did add a category, what wave# do you think would be appropriate? My gut says finish 5 waves (reach wave 6), as such a category would be long enough to be interesting but short enough to avoid being a chore. |
Forum: Brawlhalla Thread: Brawlhalla All% ??? Started by: |
Maybe, probably not, though. I don't think the category makes sense. |

Something like this would generally be in a "Category Extensions" leaderboard attached to the main leaderboard. Personally, I see no reason to make this an actual category. I doubt interest would be high, as there isn't a ton of crossover among the existing categories. Some of the categories included are also random enough to prevent any kind of decent time. |
