Yes, it's not okay to hide a way to do a massive exploit that would otherwise guarantee a record, and it could be cheating from using cheat engine or other third party resources if not properly explained, post a video explaining how it's done otherwise i have no problem not approving the run until you do, i haven't encountered anyone who doesn't share these types of things and it's very unjust to hide it and against the sites global rules if I recall correctly, usually people share these things right away and runs are accepted because it is verified to be replicated, if it can't be replicated then there is a reason why, I'm limited on time so I apologize if I don't get back right away but I also refuse to spend too much time on an issue like this, bottom line it's not okay to refuse to share how a glitch/exploit is executed.

Done, yeah i originally thought about calling it full race but well just go with that and milliseconds are displayed now since I keep forgetting that sr.com has non-milli on default

Yeah the horse racing can be added to IL board but let me know which in particular you would be interested in doing, I would assume the post game races but who knows someone might like doing the story based one over and over /shrug.

The only reason I paused was to reload the stream so no footage would be lost, if people cared about it for a 15+ hour run then I would just add 2 minutes to my time because that's exactly how long it takes to refresh a stream on YouTube since the upload limit is 11:55 and I never pause for runs that are under this time anyways. Twitch has also had issues maintaining footage above 12 hours as well so I wanted to be safe for both platforms.

I'm definitely not against separating the categories and subcategories for consoles but I will wait until more people actually commit to doing runs before creating the sub categories for the various consoles since the length of this game is pretty hefty regardless of the category.

yeah I heard about that as well but honestly most developers have their products finished way before they let on and the last phase is bug working so i dont see why they wouldnt want to cash in on the last episodes but im sure they might be buggy if not unplayable, we shall see, 2nd episode should be guaranteed

Edit & Breaking News: 2nd Episode is released and they are pushing to complete the final season.

Yeah I was looking into this game and uuuhhhh lol... yeah there's gonna have to be multiple categories such as - sword of light, neutral ending and true ending because of how long it takes you to get to each one, beating the full game without a solid xp gain/exploit strat would definitely take up to a full day + , just start timing on file creation and end on reaching the sword of light, on killing the lord of shadows or killing calasmos

Well I already did an any% run and I'm sure others did as well, the run is going to range from 5-6 hours. You can skip the circuit puzzles by selecting so in the game options on the main menu. As for another category, if it's a bit of an outlier category most people prefer that you do a run of it first for it to be accepted to avoid empty categories and false promises, you should talk to everyone on the discord about it regardless since that's where the main activity is.

Thread: Is it normal to have mental breakdowns while speedrunning?

Started by: n0p0nn0p0n

You're either going to speedrun a game you love or find a quality in a game that you love no matter how ridiculous the game or category. Most runners come to a point where they acknowledge that speedrunning and the community is a wonderful thing ~ even the best thing that's come into their life - but not worth destroying your mental health / personal life over but this can be avoided with shifting some bad thoughts/perspectives into healthy ones and setting some boundaries. The "pros/wr holders" are often people who whether continuously or at one point loved the game with a passion that fueled their progress immensely to where they compete on record pace out of love for the game or out of good habits set / muscle memory after such a long period of time grinding. Some games have higher walls to climb then others and its up to you to figure out how to scale the wall, you go to fast without setting safety points it will feel like you burnt out and fall to the bottom but with safety checkpoints you can hang onto that progress once you have successfully reached it and feel much better, basically practicing sections one step at a time and practicing difficult tricks one at a time. After running as many games as I have now at this point I can easily say a game you should decide to speedrun on the more serious side or rather with more dedication should be the type of game where you are playing, feeling challenged/excited/joyful and have reset anywhere from 10-50+ times while maintaining the same smile and inner fire of determination to get the run that you desire, if this feeling is dashed exceptionally soon, you really shouldn't be running this game or speedrunning at all for that matter, the right game alone can be the difference between ever getting the euphoric feeling of a satisfying run versus raging over a game/category that you probably shouldn't be wasting your time on in the first place which can relate to the breakdown that you experienced. If you truly value becoming a speedrunning pro you need to figure out what speedrunning really means to you and work from there but whether focusing on one - a few games or being a variety speedrunner, the path will never be easy.

A timer for any speedrun usually doesn't warrant pausing unless its an extreme circumstance. Running it solo or Co-Op is your choice

Yes, all requirements to obtain the survivor's trophy which is achieving the best ending possible and taking the border route and does have some skips in the route.

Everyone in this list has to be alive by to achieve the Good Ending / Survivor's trophy ending

Kara
Alice
Luther
Jerry
Markus
North
Josh
Simon
Connor
Hank (to be friends and alive which includes the extra ending, but you need to be friends with him anyways so you automatically get the extra ending)
Chloe

Can the True Ending category be added or however you want to name it, All Survivors, Good Ending, etc. I've already done a run for it

I did a true ending run as well, could throw me mod and I'll setup the page otherwise just add true ending, it's just ensuring the good ending for everyone, all key characters living to get the survivors trophy

No need for negativity, there's an exploit for unlimited XP and Hacksilver so that would usually warrant separate categories but it could be patched out soon so who knows, see what the community decides.

Thread: Question about Credits skip

Started by: yoteyote

Hard to say whether doing single regions would be considered IL's or not since they seem to take a decent amount of time to where it could be a main category with sub categories for each region, once things are more routed out and potential skips/exploits are found a better answer can be given but there should be no issue either way

I'm not going to take a meme category too seriously however, if you didn't skip the credits in your video no time will be subtracted because it is invalid, re-timing could be done if timing down to the frame but honestly I suspect there will be tied WR's no matter what happens even down to the millisecond. The main concerns should be with the full game currently.

As many already know, Vermintide 2 is releasing on March 8th as stated on the steam page and preparations for running the game are already in motion.

Vermintide 1 never had an official discord so upon creating the discord for the release of Vermintide 2 there will be text and voice channels dedicated to the first as well.

Discord Link - https://discord.gg/CtHNMdz

The purpose of creating a single discord for everyone is so that everything from rules, structures, strategies and glitches can be discussed and voted upon if needed rather than running into scattered community members and controversy from new/old players. I hope that new and old players can move forward from previous conflicts and form solid teams for pushing Vermintide 2 to it's limits. I look forward to talking/playing with all speedrunners interested.
