Are there any tricks or glitches in the xbox version that you cant do in the gcn version?

How many times do you have to swaphop in a 100% run?

On the 100% WR video, when he was doing the first swaphop, he was just holding down the A button. Was he using Autofire? If so, what program can I use to do that?
