I am a super mod for BTD6 (Bloons Tower Defense 6) and would like the super mods "RexTari" and "Jaywaaking" removed from their super mod position. RexTari has not been on the site in 2 years and Jaywaaking has not been on in 4 months while also not fulfilling any moderator duties in the game for over 2 years. Thanks!

The use of monkey money in-game is not allowed. So no, you cannot level your hero up to 10 instantly with monkey money.

TMK, we could split the leaderboard that way but with so few coop runs submitted it would likely make more sense to keep it as one larger board. Being able to split them in the future would be fairly easy if we do decide to go down that route.

Tmob, many PC games do not allow uncapped framerate. It should not be a requirement to have the newest and fastest CPU, RAM, and GPU in order to compete for a top time. Platforms do have their differences in performance in other games, but the hardware for those platforms is always the same. Runners also need to use external programs to uncap the framerate which almost universally is not allowed.

As of 10/20/2020, these are the current rules:

Timing starts when you hit play on Round 1 and ends when the Victory banner appears at the end of the run.

• Run MUST be shown in it's entirety, hitting play at the start and the "victory" banner at the end must visible • Taskbar MUST be shown on PC •Map Selection Screen MUST be shown before the run • Play on X Difficulty • Monkey Knowledge upgrades are permitted • Runs on Emulator are permitted • No Continues • No Game Modding of any kind • No Glitches of any kind • No Insta Monkeys • No Powers aside from Monkey Farmers • No Double Cash

Some of these rules are unnecessary and some rules should really be added.

Rules that should be removed

Taskbar MUST be shown on PC
There is no reason for this rule to exist. I have modified BTD programs in the past and you do not need an external program open to cheat. Moderators should be able to tell if the program has been modified, especially when dealing with high-level runs.

Map Selection Screen MUST be shown before the run
This rule is also not really needed. It should be easy to tell instantly what map and difficulty the user is playing on. It's not needed.

Two players only for CO-OP
This rule is truly not needed. It is almost always faster to run two-player but we should allow runs that exceed the 2P limit.

Rules that I think should be added

Sound FX must be on
Sound FX allows for the ability to tell if the footage has been sped up or if a variable on a monkey has changed. I believe all runs on the leaderboards currently have Sound FX enabled, but I would like to see this be a rule to remove doubt around a run being illegitimate. The BTD series has had situations where users turn all sound off and speed up footage.

Steam users must show FPS counter & not go above 60 FPS
BTD6 is natively capped at 60 FPS due to always having VSYNC enabled. Users have to disable VSYNC outside of the program to reach over 60 FPS. Framerates over 60 FPS allow for an unfair advantage based on the quality of the hardware. Old runs should be grandfathered in but runs that we believe go over 60 FPS should be removed.

Please let me know what you think. I would like to try to make these rules official if I can. We are also in need of more moderators. If you are interested, please join the BTD discord and let someone know!

There once was a 99 lives category but no one really cared and now it's gone. It would have been a pretty simple category for you to try and run. I would recommend just doing level runs until you get the hang of the entire game.

To do this glitch, you need to place a chair as far to the left of SAIL as possible while still being able to interact with both. You interact with SAIL first then while SAIL is active you interact with the chair. This will spawn you in the water section of the Floran mission. If the chair is not all the way to the left you will spawn in some rocks and be unable to move.

I recorded my iOS device using an Apple TV with the HDMI going into a console capture card. It's very inconvenient and quite laggy. I believe there's a simple way to do it with a Mac and obs involving Airplay but I can not confirm as I do not have a Mac.

The Category was redefined after I did my first run of the game (Which was play Obstacle Racing along with born to side or one of those maps, same as the ps2 version). Upon this, the very broad category of All Races was made to allow the two versions to have different leaderboards. I took all races as beat a pro cup in races. So I did every course twice on Time Attack, which is all the races (Excluding Master races). While I do believe both qualify as "All Races" I do agree that a better definition needs to be set in this category.

It should be evedent by now to all the this games major categories will not be run as they are too long and involve not enough skill. My recommendation will be to add some or all of these has the majory categories and move the current ones to misc categories:

1.) 3 Missions: This is short and sweet and it will involve actual routing. One would pick what they would see as the fastest three different missions and beat them. There are currently 10 missions and they all vary in difficulty and length.

2.) 5 Missions: Same as 3 Missions but with half the available missions. It would be slightly longer and more challenging but runs the risk of being to long and no one would do it.

3.) Extreme Maps: Beat all the extreme maps on easy (Tar Pits, Main Street, Bloontonium Lab). These are the Hardest maps and there is only three of them. It would be short but still provide a challenge.

These are more likely to be run so I hope the moderators take these into consideration. Another thing which needs to be added is the ability to submit coop runs as those could be a thing.

It is very similar to the regular play through and the only real difference is the enemies have more health effectively making it only a harder and longer run. Although, if you want to do it, you might be able to convince a mod to make it a misc category.

From my testing, there is only one savewarp that saves time from the standard route. river -> creep will bring you the checkpoint in front of the third lookout. There is a consistent way to do them in runs though. If you have one life (or make it so you have one life) at the world point you wish to warp at, go to the chuck for the warp and die. Quickly die again and the game over screen will act as a save and load. river -> creep is only faster on 360 as the 360 can load faster than the original xbox. It is far slower to the oob route though.

Other savewarps you haven't done:
cogpa1 -> cogpa2 (Not good with the chunk names, I assume this is cortexs first room to the first frog room) This always crashes the game and is a pain to do.
cogpa1 -> crgpa8 (Assuming this is cortex chunk one back into crash land) Puts you in the large room in front of the door to cortexs area
The other crate which you didn't mention in the level I have only tested one way. Going backwards a chunk will spawn you on the check point always as cortex.
Going from hubd to pier is not impossible if you use hover, but I can not do hover so I have not tested it
Going from jungle bungle back into N sanity island will spawn you on the tongue of the totem with the blue gem
sch_hub (both) -> crashent - Spawn above the checkpoint

There are a few I would like to see what would happen that would need cheats to do such as backtracking into iceclimb, or needing to not activate checkpoints. In would also like to know what would happen backtracking into cavern. This is a cool glitch but I think it would find no use in runs
