If you want to submit them, record them. If not, then when or if you record them is entirely up to you, they just won't be able to be verified.

You need an everdrive and the usamune ROM, that will let you use save states and go to different worlds right away

It's not exactly "legal" but it's an acceptable way to speedrun, as long as you submit to the emulator category

If they are all 1.0 then great. 1.0 seems to be more common.

Find a cartridge on eBay or something, you can tell the difference because on JP 1.1 there's text on the bottom of the sticker that says "NUS-NKTJ--JPN-1", and on 1.0 it says "NUS-NKTJ-JPN"

I was doing 150cc and missed the ramp jump into the cave, so backed it up with a wall jump. When I got into the cave I fell through the floor, I have no idea what happend, anybody know anything about that? Version is JP 1.0 if that helps. I don't have a recording sadly
