Hey, been looking at places around chicago on google maps and wouldn't it be better to go somewhere downtown if we want 24 hour food places? Airport hotels usually aren't very good for that as evidenced by AGDQ15. I know there will be a shuttle to/from the airport, but downtown is also a lot faster and easier by public transport if google maps is right.
I'm probably in the minority but I actually kinda liked being near the main stage. Apart from all the countdowns and "I say Insom, you say nia!" I liked being near all the noise and the atmosphere was so nice. I know we'll be inside next year and have a room but I really liked the idea that anyone could walk over, stand/sit down and watch for a couple minutes and then leave or stay if they wanted. I don't want an environment where people feel awkward about being near the stream and having to be quiet. If we get a room with fighting/esports/retro that could be good as we'd have good foot traffic. Apart from all that this was a great event, flicky and planks, you were both great and handled it all brilliantly, everyone who I met or was seeing again, you were all great and I can't wait to see you all again. The tiniest downside was getting kicked out at 6 on the dot but they were literally taking everything apart and turned off the internet so that was something completely out of our hands. For the next event it'd be nice to not necessarily have a bonus stream, but just a couple hours of side stuff afterwards, like micromachines tournaments, blind beezy runs, etc. totally understand if this doesn't happen but just thought I'd throw it out there. by the way, my work is being dumb and i might be working friday and saturday. i'm going to try and get those 2 days off, or at the very least saturday. my manager is off tomorrow and i don't think i'll see him until friday, i'll try and let you know if i can get the days off. if i can't i'll still come sunday
