Hey,
I decided to make a Discord so people can easily discuss level strategy and such.
Nice run, but can you credit me for making the map? Stealing it without crediting is plagiarism :P
I'm looking into working on the auto-splitter, but I don't have much of a clue in what i'm doing either. We'll see where this goes ¤shrugs¤
If you use LiveSplit(which you should, I ¤think¤ it's supported by mac), it's a built in function. Someone would need to code it though, which could be tedious.
The issue is, forcing users to manually cut out load times really can cut down on the number of people who want to run. It really can be a pain to re-time and cut out loads.
Same issue as Titan Souls (A similar game visually that I used to run)
What we can do is:
A. Manually cut out loading times. That would be a LOT more work for everyone.
Or B. Someone (maybe me, but i'm pretty new to it and it'd probably take a full day or more of work for me) could make a mandatory auto-splitter that cuts out load times automatically (if users don't want to use the auto-splitter, they can choose to cut out load times manually, or be on a different leaderboard than everyone else).
Those are basically the two options. The way Titans Souls handled it was not good; they decided to ignore it completely, which meant the PS4 times were faster than PC could ever possibly get, since the game was more optomised on PS4.
It's up to what you guys what to do.
Can you timestamp the glitch? No offense but I don't really want to watch the full thing just for the glitch haha.
Also, I gotcha beat ;D 8:12 is currently my PB. I think sub 8 is possible. It's taking forever to upload because I have 3 up 1 down though. So it'll be up on SpeedRun.com either later tonight or tomorrow.
You could at least credit me with the map, rather than stealing it.
As for the teleporting to stones we have already visited, can you explain how? I wasn't aware we could do this.
Edit: Not to mention the fact that I already have a thread about the 0, 0 warping.
Edit2: Figured out how to teleport. Well, this screws up my Any% run I was uploading to submit.
Can I have a link to this? Can't find it on http://nifflas.ni2.se/
It's a really good speed running game. Nice platforming, easy routing, etc.
I'm glad I found it on the list of games while I was browsing :)
@we_aver
Do you think I could have Mod to fix the categories and help out? Thanks
100% should be renamed to Any%, and please set the rules to:
Timer starts when you click new game, or if you have a save file, when you click to delete your old save. Timer ends when you click interact with the final "god".
Make all the Tablet run's rules be this:
Get X number of tablets inserted into the stones. Timer starts when you you click new game, or if you have a save file, when you click to delete your old save. Timer ends when you gain control of the character after inserting the last tablet.
The issue is you can't clip back in, so unless we match it with another glitch, it's pretty useless.
I was doing a quick 2 tablet run, and at the very end, I was warped to the top left of the map.
It seemed to be the game forgetting where the player was, and setting him at 0, 0, which is at the top left of the map. And since the walls are two-way walls I couldn't clip back in. (I also couldn't jump)
I think what activated it was me pressing quit multiple times in a row (spamming the button) before letting the animation go. Maybe it can end up useful, maybe not, however right now make sure not to spam the button when you are quitting (since quitting and continuing is 10-12 seconds faster than watching the animation)
It's not that hard. There is an in-game map, use that to make a path and just go for it.
I have already found out that:
As soon as you put a tablet in, start and quit, then press continue. It's 10-12 seconds faster than the animation, per animation.
When you are pressing quit for that, DO NOT spam it. If you accidentally press quit, then it starts to fade and you hit quit again, the game will set you at 0, 0, which is at the top left of the map. It's out of bounds, and the only way back into the map is to start a new game.
