Splits

How do I record both the splits that I use and the run itself together?

The only screen recorders I use atm are OBS and bandicam (which I can't be asked to get the registered version), and both recorders lag my computer, so if I were to record my emulator with it, it would look like I were cheating as the FPS rate would drop.

I don't have a video making program either, I only have WMM which afaik cannot merge videos together.

Any help?

Add 2 separate window captures on OBS (one for game, one for splits). Bandicam should be unnecessary.

But that's the thing, if I use OBS, my framerate will drop and it will look like I'm cheating.

You should be able to adjust your OBS settings. Try streaming at a lower resolution with a lower bitrate (found in settings -> output and settings -> video respectively).

I can't afford a better pc lol im like 14

Lower the encoder settings to make your OBS recording lag less. A few dropped frames isn't a big deal. Most people stream/record at 30fps anyways. If you find it difficult to record both together, then don't. Record your game alone, time it yourself, and we can re-time it to get it right.

I recorded my first speed run at 240p 30FPS. It looked perfectly fine!

So HD quality isn't required?

Oh dang

Germany

no, quite a few people only record in SD, since the game itself is only 480p as long you can see what's going on, it's fine
