Get Mario Cap, go to Black Box Cloud for Coin 1, long jump to the cannon with Coin 2, shoot up to the right for 3, triple jump off the red box and back onto the starting platform for Coin 4, fly to the high cannon blast to 5 and 6 at the top, fly to the pole with Coin 7, drop off and ground pound for 8 then grab the star.
