"So with those issues this category [Glitchless] will not be added. You can still run the game in this nature and submit them to Any%."
You could do what the NES Tetris mods just recently did and have filters for level/height.
Also I'm 105% on board with 100 lines.
I don't personally have an issue with the boards being changed like this, but I definitely agree that people are being reasonable in being upset that such a decision was made without any kind of community input.
If you've got a computer and TV from the past five years (HDMI output for computer, HDMI input for TV) then yes
Planning on learning and running the longest run I will have attempted so far (LEGO Star Wars any%) (around 1-2 hours) Thursday and Friday since I've got school off.
I was wondering if 100 line, 100 line (level 0 start), and 300k points could be added to the boards? These categories are also on GB and NES Tetris. They would be run in Marathon mode.
Maybe 500k could be added too (or instead of 300k)? Since the DAS counter resets much faster in this version, making higher scores much easier to obtain.
Thanks, that was very informative!
Which would you recommend for someone just getting into speedrunning this game? I've primarily played the PS2 version if that changes your answer.
Hey all! I've been playing Shadow of the Colossus casually since around the time it came out, love the game, definitely considering speedrunning it. My question is, what's the difference (if there is one) between the PS2 and PS3 versions? I have both available to me, just wondering what (if anything) is better about one or the other.

Works for me, also W10
Tetris, if I'm having a bad day or just have too many things on my mind I can lose myself in the world of falling blocks.
Maybe 100 lines, 100 lines (level 0 start), and 300k points like the NES and GB versions of Tetris? I already run those games, but I'd like to run this one as well since the DAS counter resets at a much faster rate.
Also a category to defeat the VS. CPUs in the fastest time would be cool (easy, normal, and hard categories).
Web games are good if you're looking for free, quick runs. I would recommend Upgrade Complete!, but there are lots of good ones out there.
Why though? You can speedrun the games in Namco Museum on their own pages can't you?
Shower With Your Dad Simulator 2015: Do You Still Shower With Your Dad?
darb's WR SMB any% video is what hooked me. I still haven't run SMB yet (world 8 is hard :O), but maybe I will someday.
Noticed this today when I was trying to find the Donkey Kong NES ROM, was planning to run it. Ah well, I'll find it somewhere else (legally, of course).
Upgrade Complete (https://www.speedrun.com/uc/) is a pretty fun webgame. Not terribly time consuming either.
Also, not quite "obscure" but Tetris for the Game Boy! It's a classic, can't go wrong with it.
I'm requesting Super Mod on Upgrade complete (https://www.speedrun.com/uc/). The two current super mods have been inactive for a long time.
samnam_style has been offline for nearly an entire year. His link to his youtube channel is no longer valid, and both of the run videos he has submitted to speedrun.com have been unlisted on YouTube. I think that makes it fairly clear he doesn't have any intentions of coming back.
I reached out to sprilx about a month ago, asking if he was going to come back and moderate, or if he could make me mod. He came online to mod me, and appears to not have been on since then. Prior to that he had been offline for several months, if I recall correctly.
If I could take over as Super Mod for this game that would be great. Thanks!
EDIT: now that I've posted this it appears that sprilx has come back on quite recently. I guess I'll message him about this.
