This post is simply to provide information on fixes for glitches and crashes, as well as helping people learn tricks for the run. I will also list some currently un-used but still important information that could come in handy for the game down the line.

I'll start it off with the big one, the crash near the end of the run that has killed way more runs off for me than I'm willing to list (And has done so for many people), this crash can NOT be 100% prevented, but it CAN be made way, way les likely (Previously it was almost a 50/50 chance of it crashing sometime in the final area, using the fix it has dropped down to way less, haven't done the maths yet but I can promise it's not as likely.

This crash is something you've probably encountered before, it's caused by doing so much of the game so fast without saving. For some reason FFF does not like people playing too far into the story without saving, and near the end it gives up and pops up a rendering error, which hardcrashes the game.

V This fix requires a CPU with MORE than 2 cores. V

The fix for this is as follows:

When you boot up the game, go into task manager and go to the following section: https://i.imgur.com/Kp4wZrz.png

Then find (and highlight) the fair fencer F process: https://i.imgur.com/TtKS06T.png

Once done, right click on the process, and click "Set affinity" The game should be using all 4 cores naturally (That's the default). To stop the crashing, you have to do 2 things.

First, untick CPU 1 and 2, and leave 3 and 4 highlighted. This Means the game will ONLY run on those 2 cores. This may seem counter intuitive, but it stops it from competing for power with other programs running (Like steam) which are using all 4 cores and primarily use the first core (CPU1).

THIS STEP SHOULD ONLY BE DONE IF YOU ARE SURE YOUR PC WON'T CRASH. (Precautionary warning since priority shifting can cause systems to become unstable occasionally)

Second, click okay, and then right click the same process, and go to "set priority". It should list a selection and be defaulted to "normal". Set priority to "above normal" (No higher), and you're sorted. The game should work fine.

*Only works for nvidia graphics card users Framerate fix (And potential crash fix)

This is an optional fix to also get the game to run smoother (framedrops even on best of PC's seems to be common).

First, open the nvidia control panel and navigate to "program settings" Once there, select Fairy Fencer F from the drop down (If it isn't there, add it). Once you've done that, you should be greeted with a selection of options. You can mess around with these if you want, but we're only interested in a select couple.

Make sure the following options are turned OFF: Anisotropic filtering Antialiasing - FXAA Antialiasing - Gamma Corerction Antialising - Mode Shader Cache

^ Once all of those are turned off - your game should run smoother, If you want extra frames, you can also turn off the following (if they aren't already)

Texture Filtering - trilinear optimization

That's all the fixes/optimization changes currently known.

Moving on I'll be going into the known tricks for this run, of which there is only 2 very easy known ones.

The first trick will be near the end of the run, as you enter the last dungeon, there's a staircase right in front of you (it looks like a statue stand but it has 2 staircases leading off of it), if you dont' know what I mean, here's an image:

If you go up to the end of either staircase, you are able to jump over onto the section above, skipping a solid 2 minutes off the run (If you fail 3 times, its slower)

Video if skip in action: You CAN also use the left staircase - but using it is a second slower

Second skip is not used much but does save a few seconds when used. It's just not a requirement for the run (the previous skip is). This skip just lets you avoid battles with a specific mob: All you need to do is jump slightly before the mob touches you, and move to the side when you hit the mob's hitbox. It will touch the hitbox but NOT trigger the battle, thus letting you jump past it without an encounter

Video of the trick in action:

With those 2 skips out the way, I will now mention information that we know but have no applicable use for:

hitbox pushback.

Every single hitbox in the game has a 1-sided pushback. This was proven recently (and potentially known prior since FFF shares the same engine as the Neptunia rebirth games). If you want proof, there is multiple videos of it, but I will link my videos as proof.

Video 1: (Pushback in action):

Video 2: (Walking through walls from behind):

Video 3: (proof you can run outside the map boundries):

With all of that out the way, I hope to see you on the leaderboards making it harder for me to get decent times :D
