This run: https://www.speedrun.com/run/y8q90pdy is timed wrong. Specifically, the final ending split
Roughly 1 second difference on timer start and a similar 1 second difference as the run ends. I don't see the problem there.
A reminder that capture cards often have a small delay between what's shown on the person's monitor and what's transmitted to the PC. It's most common to see a delay ranging from 0.x seconds to 2 seconds. These all depend on the capture card that's being used, with the problem being more common with devices that use USB 2.0 (on the other hand, internal capture cards and those that use USB 3.0 ports have almost no delay from what I've heard).
My capture card delay is roughly 2 seconds, as myst already explained ^^
Ah, thank you for clearing up the issue. Apologies for not understanding how that works. However, a question comes to mind. If the Top 3 runs for any game were extremely tight, and you recorded what you claimed to be a world record run, but it had a delay such as this, how would it be possible to verify?
@XCS, if such an occasion would happen, I can always download the VOD and time the run using Sony Vegas. This way I can frame perfectly time a run.
