I'm not new to video games or watching speedruns, but I've never done a speedrun before. I've thought about trying, but I seem to find everything too hard. I've tired pokemon, but I suck at math and I all those calculations, then there is Mario, too much jump and timing needed. I've thought about Final Fantasy, but I know nothing about the game. And I've seen Sonic, which I know nothing about also. I have a gaming computer so I can run anything (DC Universe, Steam, Origin) I also own a Wii and PS2, with a variety of games.

Any suggestions would be nice.

So about me... I'm a female in Kansas USA, small town in the middle of wheat fields and sunflowers, except now it is snowing and cold, and my apartment is cold also, even with the heater on. =( I live alone, with my nine pets aka rats. They are all males, the only ones in my life. I love them dearly and would be lost without them. I work at a grocery store and am hired as a full time meat cutter. =D

Any questions or comments are appreciated. Have a great day. Ashley

Welcome.

I had the same problem and kind of still do. I've tried Sonic the Hedgehog, Ristar, Streets of Rage, Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse. Useless. I did manage to get really good at Golden Axe on the Sega and I posted some runs of Resident Evil HD Remaster but I've got a ways to go before I ever get a world record. The great thing is though, if you practise enough then you start to see results. I was struggling to get below 30 minutes on Golden Axe when I started and now I can beat it under 20.

Keep trying different games and keep at it. There's a game for everyone.

I was watching speedruns for over a year before I finally got into it. Speedrun games u like. Its easier to run a game you're already familiar with. You dont have to run games that others do too. My first speed game was the recently released Oddworld remaster, new n Tasty. As far as I knew at the time, I was the only one running it.

I prefer to run games that less people play.

That can be fun once ur into it, but when ur just starting, the resources provided by other runners is essential.
