Given time doesn't match actual time

Hey everyone I'm new to speedrunning so I might be wrong :P In the section AOE3 campaign, PIRATES was performed by Lagadou in 1m 44s on easy. But when I time it, I get 2m 10s for his run. Is it possible that the time is wrong, if so I think I can do better than him.

Could someone also check his time?

Thank you :)

Empiresfreak, I honestly don't know why that is a 1:44, according to the rules it looks like it should be a 2:12 or something. I don't really know much about AoE3 though, I mostly moderate AoE1 and AoE2, so I'll leave it for now.

1m 44s is the time he gets for using the moment he gains control of his units till the victory. His time is obviously wrong

Your run goes from late 0:04 till 1:40 which means it should be 1:35 and can't be 1:33. (if you start after loading.

Rules say: Timing starts after you click Play and ends when "You are Victorious" appears at the end of the scenario.

In this case both runs use a wrong timing and this should be fixed. We need an admin that wants to be active for AoE3 and be strict about these timings.

I'm currently standardizing all the times to a new rule: timing starts when the scenario loads. The reference I am using is when the cursor disappears. Timing ends as usual, on "You Are Victorious!". This is to keep it more consistent with the rules of the other AoE games, and besides, cortez666's videos start from exactly that point anyway so this can make it possible to keep his runs.

Sorry for taking literally forever to bother with this, it's my duty to maintain this leaderboard even if I don't know AoE3 inside-out.
