sorry for that noobish question, im really new to this XD The question is pretty much in the title. I am trying to do a marathon and finish the whole game in one go and have splits for everystage but there are also leaderboards for every single stage so can i just try to finish the whole game and then just pick out the stages where i had a good run and submit them as single stage runs or if im trying to do an all stage run i can only submit it as all-stage run? thanks for your time and efford to answer me already ^_^
What you're talking about is the difference between Single Segment runs and Segmented runs, as well as Individual Level runs. These are all distinct categories, and Segmented/Individual Level runs are NOT eligible for submission as a Single Segment run of a full game. If the leaderboard in question has a Segmented category and Individual Level boards, then by all means submit them there.
It might be helpful to know the exact game you're talking about.
But if I understand correctly, the answer to your question is "yes". If a game tracks individual stage times and you happen to PB in a particular stage while doing an "All Stages run" then you can definitely submit your individual stage PB unless there are rule differences (for example, if a Stage in the All Stages does something not allowed in a single stage run, then you cannot submit it).
It's like how some people do "All Categories" runs of games. The run itself is a single segment run of every category for a game, but if one of those categories, say Any%, is a PB, then they are allowed to submit that specific part of the All Categories run as an Any% PB.

I was talking about the endless war series (an old flash game i want to start with to get started). There are different campaings there consisting of a few stages and there are leaderboards for running through a campaign and different ones for running through all campaigns in a single run. So i was just wondering if i can try to run all campaigns together and just submit the good runs from campaigns individually (say i play all in one run but want only to submit campaign 2 as a single campaign run). Also sorry but i dont really know what PB or Any% is. i have seen Any% as categories already but didnt look at what exactly it means yet and thanks to you two for the quick answer.
Oh and Drakodan if i understood right what you said i didnt mean to record every stage individually and then add them all together into a all stages run. i want to do the exact opposite
