Hey all, I've played games since I was born, started with an NES at 3 years old. Once I got older, I ended up getting games all the time and rushing to finish them, so I could go get another (which my wife hates, as I have over 100 games and have beaten them, but only just the main story, never anything else as I don't go back.)
I watched GDQ last year for the first time and was just awwed. I knew there was a speed running community, but I thought you had to actually be super good to get in. I then started watching Diatech, who straight up told me, this is how you get into speed running, this is what you do, get ahold of the community, etc, etc. I played League for the last 5 years, dumped alot of time into it and haven't gotten anywhere, the community is just crap right now and anytime I play the game, I just get tilted and angry irl. So I decided to check out the speed running and you guys are so welcoming and theres so much support, that I want to get into it.
