yoyoyo I'm Beenut, I'm an aspiring speedrunner who has a horrible computer and no capture card. i want to run games but im still a bit searching around on what game to do but some of the games that interest me for now are freedom planet and Diablo 2 and maybe a pokemon game. so until i figure out what game i actually do, ill mostly roam the website and check out other runners :P
Diablo 2 would be interesting but its a very clunky/frustrating run to learn as of allot of rng can make it all that more challenging but can be all that more fun still. Generally pick a game you know well or would like to learn about and see if you like to run it doing some starter runs with just the knowledge you have obtained yourself and if you still like that game then move on to learning more from others and through more practice and experiment where possible because you never know.
Good luck with you running endeavors. And as far as cap cards I can suggest a Avermedia Live HD as its the card I'm using and it works great. I would avoid Elgato because of apparent issues with delay in video and or audio.
