Yeh or hey for you non dyslexics

Hey all I'm going to start streaming speedruns for a couple of games. I have no experience and look forward to bothering everyone with my nine billion mistakes and questions.

I may be a bit more crazy than not as the first game I'm going to learn is Legend of Legaia 100%. I have a ton of work ahead of me and hope anyone interested in the game or in how I go about learning stuff tunes in.

Let me know if you have any tips/tricks/advice. I'll start early with my questions. Is there a software somewhere that's not just writing things in Notepad that can keep things a bit more organized for me while I go over numbers etc relearning the game?

depends on what kinds of notes you need to take. I don't know anything about Legend of Legaia so I can't give any particular help with that.

But if you need to run numbers, use a spreadsheet with excel maybe? if you need to keep pictures next to your text notes, I recommend either printing it out and having paper notes or using word if you are dealing with screenshots. I'm using paper notes for my first run actually! I just started attempting any% of Ballad of Solar yesterday and started writing notes to help me finish my run.

for 100%, definitely having a walkthrough (print or digital) will help alot I assume. especially if there are collectables

Welcome to the community, Piliener! I wish you the best of luck on your runs!!

As JayJane said, having a spreadsheet and/or notes definitely help, and having a walkthrough nearby definitely helps. Another thing I highly recommend is watching the WR of that category. It's currently held by DriftingSkies, but I can't seem to find the run online, so searching for it online might help. Another thing to do is ask for advice from the other runners in the forums. :)
