Spontaneous Box Art Update

Hey, the box art for Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door was somehow updated, and after discussion, I've determined that none of the game mods did this. We were wondering if it could be reverted, because none of us can change it back.

Thanks!

Edit: Someone changed it back. It just took a while for anyone to see it.

I actually noticed this happened with many of the Zelda games recently too (for example, OOT had a horizontal game art similar to the original box art, but now it's exactly like the new TTYD one). I wondered why it suddenly happened for a bunch of games, maybe it was a site wide thing.

It's already been reverted by someone, you just need to ctrl+f5 to force update it.

Might as well reply here that this happened to Paper Mario N64 too. Is this something you (as in the full mods) are doing? I personally don't care, I just found it odd that they were all being changed without any sort of announcement.

Same here, someone changed the Initial D Extreme Stage one. It was fine before, i never asked for this. Stop that shit.

Edit: It seems like most of these are the exact copy of the twitch boxarts too. Whoever is doing this: It's not right, you're not even asking us for it. Also some boxarts on Twitch aren't right either, like, they don't even look like the actual boxarts, the real ones.

Possibly a script that was added, probably for ease of use when adding new games, but ran through the old games too.

I personally prefer the look of those new ones, but it should be the game mods (and by extension, the game's community) who decide.

To me it seems silly to do this when there are moderators who are supposed to be doing all of this anyway. Twitch's game database isn't the most reliable source out there.

Site staff was doing some cleanup of covers and probably went a bit far. We're not going to further mess with game covers without discussion unless yours are particularly awful and/or non-existent and things of that nature. Feel free to revert them, sorry for the headache. They do cache, so it can take a bit to see the updates to the images.

The Mega Man games were specifically asked to be given box art, so the staff did. This isn't really ongoing anymore.
