2nd Monitor Not Connecting

I hate to be that guy, but did you try turning it off and back on again? The computer and the monitors both. That's not a joke; I feel like the problem is with that the computer ¤expects¤ versus what actually ¤is¤.

EDIT: Can you tell me what the make and model of the splitter as well as the computer you're connecting it to? Also... why do you need a monitor just for streaming? If you use two monitors from one VGA port, the display will be half quality on both because you're taking the same amount of output and splitting it in two.

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that the second monitor isn't properly connecting to the GPU because of the splitter. It could be a bad splitter or it could be that the VGA port on the GPU just can't support feeding two monitors with the splitter.

Another thing would be connecting the second monitor with a different cable (HDMI or something) if your GPU supports it. Finally, double check the input on the second monitor to make sure it's expecting VGA and it isn't set to something else like HDMI. I know that last one is kinda obvious but I've been burned by that simple check a couple times in the past.

If none of those work, a final test would be the directly plug the second monitor into the GPU without the splitter so that is your only monitor. That would at least tell you the monitor works and that it's probably an issue with the splitter or GPU not being able to push out to two monitors over one port.

A splitter is meant for output. Meaning that you can show the same image on 2 monitors at the same time. You need to connect that monitor to a seperate port on your laptop/desktop.
