Would Nintendont be allowed?

This is one of the first games I ever played, and one of my favorites, so I decided I would get into speedrunning it, Any%. Unfortunately, my current capture card only works with HD consoles, and I only have Nintendo consoles. This means that I would either need to record through Nintendont on my Wii U, or play on Dolphin on my computer and record that way. Is there any unfair advantages to Nintendont, or would I be able to do it?

As Kingmarsh said, things such as Nintendont dios mios etc. arent used due to loading innacuracies. However, they have been used in the past long ago, and the runner would do a bit of math on the loading and add up the time in addirion to theirs for a more proper time, however it simply faded away. And even if they were allowed, its safe to assume that the sub 50 minute benchmark is where it would no longer be allowed considering thats also the case with emulation. You'd have to wait for a knowledgeable mod to return to you on the subject. My recommendation is work torwards being able to record a Wii/Gamecube, and do runs/learn/practice on Dolphin untill you can reach the point where you no longer need unofficial hardware/software. Don't quote me on this, but wouldn't an HDMI to Composite kind of device work? So that maybe your HD capture card can record the composite input? Best of Luck!

A device like that may work, I'll look into it. Thanks!
