Worst mid run issues?

What is your guys' worst thing that happened mid run? Mine was when I was 12 hours into my NFSMW 100% run and my power went out.

I'm not sure much could top that

The worst that's happened to me didn't actually happen to me- it happened to the person I was racing! We were doing a rematch of a 30+ hour FF9 category because it was fun the first time, and at the end of Disc 1, about 4 hours in... he got called into work on his day off. We rescheduled for the next day and I lost 40 minutes to trying to get the friendly Mu the second time around.

I suppose I have 3 things, neither of which are too bad.

Me and my friend were doing a co-op legendary run of Halo 4, but the problem was that neither of us had played the game in a while. We kept dying and screwing up the clips that you can do to skip portions of levels. It took 4 and a half hours when it probably should have been sub 2.

The second thing happened to the same friend mentioned above. He was doing a GTA San Andreas Any% run. What would have easily been a 5:45 run ended up taking him over 9 hours because the game softlocked (iirc). He was determined to finish this no reset run and did, which certainly must say a lot about him.

The same person was also doing a different San Andreas run and was on an extremely good pace, but 2 hours in entered a cheat code by accident, and he didn't have any saves he could revert to. It was sad, here is the link. https://m.twitch.tv/videos/29348073?

Not me (and I guess this is technically past mid game) but this one is high up there

What about that guy who's DS died during his run at AGDQ

I was 11 hours into a Crash Bash 200% run when I stumbled upon some unexpected suicidal tendencies.

Was on pace for a HUGE Super Meat Boy PB the other day (was ~1:30 under coming into Rapture, gold splits in Factory and Hell, first try Brownie Skip having just learned it the day before, literally EVERYTHING going right) and my controller decided to die. My A button started sticking closed, X was firing late, phantom directional inputs, etc. Took the run out behind the barn as soon as my delta went red. :'(

My TV, which doubles up as a computer monitor, has a power-saving function which I have found no way to turn off after looking through options menus time and time again. When a button on the remote controller has not been pressed for ~4 hours, a message will pop up in the middle of the screen telling me to press a button in the next 5 minutes, or the TV will turn off. When this happens, I can no longer see my character and the environment for about 8 seconds, plenty of time to make a run-ending mistake. The worst thing it's done is kill off a very likely WR in SSX 3 with a couple minutes to go, and a run pace for about 5 seconds less than WR at the time.
